Internet destroyed the need for a middle man by allowing the news to go directly from developers/publishers into peoples homes. Why do you need some assholes to tell you about a game when you can just see it on a companies social media accounts? Why do you need some "expert" to tell you if a game is good or not. How can you even trust their judgement when the possibility of them getting advanced copies of games to review is directly tied to what score they give games now?
