>why don't you buy a game with 10 hours of gameplay for full price?
>>738707272im a firm believer in dollar per hour rule
>>738707272I don't buy any game over 20 bucks but hours of gameplay isn't a good metric
>>738707272I dont buy games unless I know I'll get at least 200h from them. And it has to be under $30, or I'll just pirate it instead. Don't like it? Make your game cheaper. No I don't care.
>>738707272Might help if the average game wasn't split up into five DLCs plus tip, and full of faggotry.
barely any new games release nowadaysif you ignore indie shit it's like only one game release a month and if it doesn't appeal to you then of course you're not going to buy it
>>738707272Why should I pay premium to do beta testing?
>>738707272Full price is less than 20$.Pretending that "hours of gameplay" matters just leads to pointless padding to justify a larger pricetag. If you want more, then mod support and map editing tools are a must.
>>738707339>>738707452sunk cost fallacy retards detected, if you're not enjoying it, stop playing it.
>>738707505Did you reply to the wrong people?
>>738707272>why don't you buy a game with 10 hours of gameplay for full price? We did that from gen 5 to gen 8.You know...the golden age. We are now in the filler content age
>Please buy our $70+tip cinematic experience to get preached at about blaxploitationNah mate, I'm good.
>>738707272I'm definitely one of those people. I'm currently playing DS/3DS (all free) and PS4-era ($5-$20) games. I only buy current gen shit when it's like 80% off. Haven't even bought a Switch 2 yet. (Waiting for a price drop and/or an OLED model.) It just seems stupid and wasteful to buy $80 games. There's so much cheap and free shit to play and the stuff that's $80 right now will be $20 in a year or two anyway.
>"hardcore" gamer>not buying games at full price + all dlc + $1000 of microtranscations day one
It's true, I get most of my games via sales, bundles, and giveawaysI have over 1000 games in my Steam library
>>738707272Who wants to buy 70+dollar sloppa that’s barely above early access, with major bugs and incomplete features, that’s guaranteed to be riddled with multiple paid dlc by the end of the month, when more likely than not it will be discounted by 30% or more within 6 months after release.
I don't even buy modern "games" on sale. I've been a long time proponent of "try before you buy", and in the past decade, I have bought exactly one 10 dollar indie game, after trying it for 20 hours, I got another 40 hours of gameplay out of it and it's a top 5 game of all time for me. Everything else I've played has been not worth the money, I cannot imagine paying 70 bucks for AAA slop.
Name one game, DLC aside, that's worth $70
>make unfinished game>sold it at maximum price>required high end hardware (it still look like game from last decade)>nobody buy itWoooooowwwwww
You ain't entitled toy money, faggot commie.
>>738707452I enjoy side content actually.
I only get full price games because my simp buys them for me.
I'd rather play a small game made by five talented, passionate devs, than a bloated, barely functional slop by fifty overpaid quota filler hires.
Games I bought full price/on release this ~year:- Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark- Split Fiction- Phantom Thief Angels: Twin Angel - Labyrinth of Time and World - Re:light- Rusty Rabbit- to a T- Logic Bombs- Silent Hill F- The Farmer Was Replaced- Devil Connection- Europa Universalis V- Magicka 2- Lost and Found Co.- PRAGMATA- Yunyun Syndrome!? Rhythm PsychosisDon't regret any of them. Just buy the games.
>>738707272I can just wait a few years for the game to go on sale for $5.49 with all of the DLC included. By that point all the FOMO guys will have fucked off and the in game slot machines are giving out free candy because everyone who was going to get scammed by that shit already got scammed.
The last time I bought a game at full price was Elden Ring, but it was worth it so I don't care too much
>>738710176Elite bait.
>sell game for a full price>it's an unfinished beta>try to sell bugfix patches and missing content as DLCI prefer to play games in one go rather than playing through them, then forgetting about them for 3 months, then coming back to them to play the DLC, then forgetting about them for 3 more months, then coming back to play through the next DLC, [...]So I wait for them to actually be finished, at which point they'll also be on sale already.Devs own problem when this is their whole approach to releasing games nowadays.
>>738707272I'm only buying gta6 at full price if rockstar comes out and says "fuck faggots, our game is based"
I never pay for games, not even the ones at 85% off, not even my favorite games.Even if I get a game for free, I delete the coupon and pirate it instead.
>>738707272I usually turn voice volume down as well as in game music. Unless its gta of course a different story. Since I'm not listening to the voice actors or the soundtrack why should I pay for that?
>>738707272>not 100%
