Absolutely fucking incorrect opinion. Bloodbornes whole thing is about the trick weapons and the combat which is still the best out of all their games. It's still the only game in their whole lot that has actual backstep r2's as a legitimate unique attack. The weapons have so much fluidity and tech to them.Just compare the Elden Ring version of the pizza cutter and how dogshit and dark souls 2 feeling it is compared. Bloodbornes map and world building and aesthetics are kino, it's not as hard as some of From's other games but Dark Souls 3 was the beginning of bad difficulty where everything is just 12 combo spams and constant dodge roll spam which Elden Ring doubled down on.Bloodborne was their last good game imo and it should've had a sequel that expanded on it, we never needed a Dark Souls 3.

Compared to Souls games most of the levels felt samey and didn't even really try to utilize the creative potential of a lovecraftian setting. Nightmare frontier especially felt like a spit in the face. The story also lacked proper buildup, the game being over after Mergo felt too sudden. Old Hunter addressed all of those issues on top of having excellent boss fights and adding fun new weapons.
