The stories vary a lot from that though, and the theme underpinning all of them is "don't be a prick to people." Persona 4 showed dark mirrors of people's greatest fears based on cruel rumors about them. Yukiko was considered a beauty with impossible standards. Kanji was considered gay because his family business was sewing. Naoto was considered not worth listening to even when she was right. Some people are pricks, and you should still do what you were going to do anyway instead of letting them control your life.
