Why does every online Yugoh game get to a point where only people who invest a ton of time (and money) can play it?
>>

Just play irl with your friends
Surely you have some, right?
>>

master duel is incredibly F2P. in fact you're gonna get way more free gems than if you would if you were funneling money into the game.

what is even the point

High skill ceiling. People will cry that YGO is a coinflip game but that's only true like 30% of the time and there's actually a ton of complexity to it paired with an extremely fast moving meta game that makes it hard to keep up. Lawyer game is a way more accurate description.
>>
Is YGO-pro still around?
>>
>>738739554
Im just going to play with friends, no need to sneethe about it.

That's every collectable trading card game that's ever existed, that is a feature. I remember The Spoils and L5R coming and going, YGO and MTG players should count their blessings that their games still exist at all.

30% are the amount that are actual games, the rest are the coinflips or praying that your opponent misplays
>>
>>738739308
I still haven't spent any money on this game and end up with nearly everything I want
>>

Have you tried being good at the game?

Sure, I'll practice tossing coins under a waterfall

You can build a full power meta deck in master duel within 24 hours of installing the game

The knowledge gap between you and experienced players is the real issue. You need to know the ins and outs of every single deck in the format before you can even begin playing.

True except 59% of games are the turn skip handtrap minigame, 20% are negate spam, and 20% are stun your opponents from playing, and then a 1% of actually having an actual back and forth match with incredible skill expression.

When I got sick of the game because of link cancer in 2018 I started running chain burn at locals (with chain energy and triple marshmallon and marshmacaron lol) and the amount of rage and vitriol generated in people you play against is insane. Even if I wasn't winning people would get genuinely aggressive. It really brought out the worst in my opponents (who were cunts anyway and part of the reason I was quitting at the time). Somewhat scary experience. It was as if people were more mad about the idea of playing against burn than the actual experience of it. Chain Energy was hilarious against the modern decks tho lol.

Metaslop will always exist, no matter how much you try to curb the power levels. Just create a functional deck that is fun, add some handtraps/board breakers and go to town. Winning with a shit deck against meta players just because you got lucky hard draws or you play some cards they've never seen before is fun.

>the highest tier of competitive events just below the world championship
That kid was literally retarded for going to that level of event with a schoolyard deck
