Louder for the people in the back...
if you don't like it, shut up about it.
>>
I'm buying the remake but you're still an insufferable retard
>>
>>738739876
If StarFox has nothing to offer but remakes and reimaginings of the same game then we don't need more StarFox.
>>
Just buy wathever they shit out or you are not a real fan

This, but unironically.

the last starfox game was a 64 remake lol
what's the bait here? starfox is a dead franchise, buy or or dont buy it, it does not matter

>"You need to buy the remake of the game you own on two different consoles for $60 because it's directly supporting the series!"
Or I could just skip out on it, because the asking price is too high, I don't care to play the game another time in better graphics, and frankly, I don't think Star Fox 64 is a sacred cow video game best in the series.
>"But if you don't buy it, you'll never get a new Star Fox!"
Yeah, Capcom fans tried the same thing with me years ago with Darkstalkers, and I had it happen a few other times since with other game rereleases, mostly inside Nintendo. I'm not falling for it again, series is probably guaranteed another game considering there's a fucking movie now in the works too.
>>
>>738739876
Remaking Assault or even Command would be better than this. I'm done with series I like being held hostage by remakes. Let it die like Advance Wars.
>>
>>738739876
Sorry but i think Starfox 64 is mid and arcade rail shooters are not worth $60 in 2026, so i vote for no Starfox ever
>>
>>738739876

>someone releases a bad game from series X
>X fans: "we should all buy it anyway, so they will release a good game next, maybe, perhaps, like, you never know, they just could, right?"
>X devs: "they bought this low quality, low budget game for the full price? we need to release another one then"
And I'm not talking about Starfox, I haven't even seen the trailer, because I don't care. I'm talking about this retarded way of thinking.

Vote with your wallet is just a way to say stop pointing out the flaws in our shitty video game other people might listen to you and not buy it, just be a quiet little cuck in your cuck chair and watch.
>>
>>738741098
this
>>
>you have to buy our garbage and say thank you so we can keep making garbage, or else we're not gonna make anything anymore and it'll be your fault
Let it die then, I'm cool with that.
>>
>>738739876
I’m fine with no Star Fox ever if they’re only capable of making shit Star Fox.
>>
>>738739876
The problem is this exact same argument was said 10 years ago when Zero came out. And that was a huge flop, considering we got 64 3D a few years before that. I am sick and tired of nothing but 64 nostalgia pandering.
>>
>>738739876
I vote for no Starfox ever.
>>
>>738739876
I am buying and pre-ordering today because I want Nintendo to know that I support them remaking the same 30-year-old game five times

Consoomer subhuman mindset. Bad things deserve criticism, and living on as a raped zombie corpse so "maybe we'll get a good game one day!" is a truly poisonous and destructive mindset to have, and ensures you will never, EVER see a good game in that respective IP again.

>I vote for no Star Fox ever
Star Fox has survived every flop and dogshit release post 64 and yet this dogshit series still survived while much better series got canned by Nintendo for far less
Voting with your wallet doesn't matter, as long as Miyamoto lives Star Fox will always get new dogshit games
>>
>>738739876
Well, that's certainly how Nintendo's executives will see it. But that doesn't mean it's right or good that this is how "voting with your wallet" currently works.
>>
>>738739876
I already voted for more Star Fox in 2011 with the 3DS remake and it was fucking Zero. So no more Star Fox, sorry. It looks like shit compared to 3D, so meh
>>
I vote for no starfox ever. I'm not 12 years old anymore, I couldn't care less about "starfox."
>>
>>738742221
Why the fuck did they have to call it Lylat Wars in yurop anyway
Was Star Fox already some government initiative or protected group or company?
>>
>>738739876
I vote for no bad games.
>>
>>738739876
I own a switch 2, I love Starfox 64 and it is probably in my top 3 N64 games all time. I beat it over a dozen times and I know like every line of dialogue.
I'm not buying this and if it kills Starfox forever I don't really care. Miyamoto is a hack and won't making new f-zero games because they "have no ideas" but keep making SF64 lmao.
>>
>vote with your wallet
>millions of retards buy dogshit anyway
>but you didn't waste your money on dogshit

643D sold over a million copies, but instead of making a real sequel they made a "reimagining" of 64.
>>
>>738742361
Miyamoto is blocking a new F-Zero because his ego is still hurt by the existence of GX. He is insanely spiteful.
>>
>>738739876
you've got your shit backwards, idiot.

as usual, OP is a faggot
>>
>>738739876
This is true, but who gives a shit at this point. If Nintendo sincerely believes they need to reboot the franchise with an N64 remake to get newcomers on board, they they need to pull their heads out of their asses. That has never been true before for them, and it's not true now. And everyone that is parroting that it's not for you or it's necessary for the series is either a shill or coping. I unironically love Star Fox, but sincerely fuck off.

Is there a single time in vidya when "vote with your wallet" has actually worked?

Is there a single franchise where making it successful and highly profitable has resulted in better games?

Seems like every single time I "vote with my wallet" and something I like gets financially rewarded, the reaction from the creators is to start chasing normie bucks. And then the franchise goes to shit, and I get blamed because I didn't "vote with my wallet" for something that I no longer want.
>>
>>738739876
I vote for no more Star Fox ever. Let series die.
>>
>>738740371
No, you will buy 50 more StarFox remakes and you gonna like it, even if it has nothing new to offer.
>F-Zero?
>>
>>738739876
>buy x to get y
This has never and will never work, also fuck anyone for even trying it
>>
>>738739876
>Buy bad game or else there won't be more bad games!
?????
>>
>>738739876
>no games, ever
>OR you could keep continually buying actual feces in the hopes that maybe they'll suddenly realize that the reason you keep giving them money isn't that you like feces and give you something good
I'd easily vote for none ever, rather than see the IP get completely desecrated and defiled by modern developers (more so than it already has been these past 20 years). Every single game franchise I like is either dead, or has been completely hijacked by developers who actively hate what I like about the series. Or, has been thus hijacked and is also dead. Better far to just let the IP rest and look for other rail-shooters to play. I heard Night Striker Gear was good.

Just letting ignorant people know that Starwing on SNES was way better, had way more potential, soul, difficulty and tighter gameplay, and that there is a timeline somewhere where Starwing became an amazing hardcore game brand that everybody loves

tight risk/reward movement, cinematic camera work and dramatic music as you get into the tunnel of thye ship... we wont get this again...

PLAY STARWING
>>
>>738742557
It can't work in the sense you're describing. People only start shouting about voting with your wallet when a shitty casualized game for the masses is coming out, in which case it will obviously get bought by the masses and you will get outvoted
>>
>>738739876
Here's how vote with your wallet works:
>The government taxes you
>The government takes your money and gives it to investment groups or provides direct subsidies
>Investment groups vote for publishers to create infinite, lowest common denominator slop and live service scams
>You don't buy them, but you still spent your money on them
>They keep getting made because someone else is voting with your wallet

The only solution is to stop giving a shit about official publishers getting money from investors to make their shit gay and lame, and focus on fan projects that aren't on the stock market.
>>
>>738742795
Why the fuck are you niggers so mad about "le government" funding video games? Some shitty indie dev using his local art fund to get $2000 has been the norm for decades
>>
I’m not spending $50 on a 1 hour game.

>Star Fox adventures flops
>Star Fox assault flops
>Star Fox command flols
>Star Fox 64 3D was a mild succes
>Star Fox guard flops
>Star Fox Zero flops
That is just one actual success in 26 years of games
How the fuck is this series alive
>>
>>738742287
I saw an article on box art design some years back: Generally Euros are more interested in the setting, Americans prefer the focus being on the main characters. It's probably related to that.
>>
>>738742978
Don't worry, Nintendo has heard you and added 39 hours of unskippable cutscenes, fetch quests, and slow-walk sections.
>>
>YOU MUST CONSOOOOOM THE GAME OR WE WON'T GIVE YOU ANY MORE
I don't want any more if this is the garbage we're going to get.
>>
>>738742774
too bad it ran at like 10fps on real hardware
>>
>>738743237
no one cared about star fox, metroid or mother before smash bros and they still don't
>>
>>738743519
Metroid and Mother atleast had 3 great games that weren't just constant rehashes of the first game
>>
>>738742287
There was a German company called StarVox whose pronounciation in thich German sounded like 'Star Fox', so in Europe the first game became Starwing while SF64 became Lylat Wars
The story was sorroborated by Jes San of Argonaut and another British dev who worked on the first SNES game, a few years back
Some of the times, names in vidya change for the oddest of reasons- Sly Cooper in EU was known as Sly Racoon due to 'cooper' being a Bri'ish slur (hence why 2 and 3 dropped the Cooper title bit), while the two Tomba! games became 'Tombi!' in EU due to "tomba" being the Italian word for tombstone
>>
>>738742871
Because they use it to spread propaganda. The propaganda itself doesn't always reflect quality, the game can still be fun anyways, right? Nope, this money also has the hook of turning the company into another patronage network meaning by nature they're hiring people of the tribe that push the ideology they want, and stop hiring based on competence. These hires know at some level that the current ideology is what keeps them in their job, so they will never give up supporting it until it crashes.
It's not like game companies can't get greedy and lazy in absence of this, but this is why these investment groups specifically are a cancer, they only care about spreading, not creating a quality product.
>>
how vote with your wallet works: buy shit get shit
>>
>>738739876
This is stupid. If you don't like the look of something, don't buy it. Buying something solely for the sake of POTENTIALLY getting something better later on is a retarded mindset.
>>
>>738739876
>buy my game this time, or I will hostage hold your series for 10 more years

No, fuck you! And fuck Nintendo, Miyamoto especially, for gaslighting this fanbase for 20+ years now. I learned my lesson with 64 3D and Zero already and will not fall for it a 3rd time. If Nintendo wants to do this shit again for a third time then so be it. But dont expect me to be like a Sonicfag thinking

>i-i-it will get better. More games is a good thing. Th-They'll get it right this time, I swear guys!!

No, fuck off with your battered-wife syndrome thinking. Better to let a series die than this shit.
