The controls are in the menu screen of battles. It's very basic game. There isn't advanced move sets or combos you just mash B and pr es YB or YYB to do your Ninjutsu.

It's definitely not great, it was a downgrade in everything but visuals from the PS2 games, and the visuals are not as impressive now as they were in 2008. Though the aliasing is much better now, it was jaggy as fuck on the PS3.Storm 2 is a much better game, and the DLC for Storm 4 specifically is the best the series has ever been (sadly it's Boruto), but yeah, 1 is mostly filler content with canon battles in between, Storm 2 is a much more complete game. Storm 3 is well made but it covers an incredibly boring part of the story so the game ends up feeling boring as a result too. Storm 4 is just a QTE fest boss rush, again because of the story it's adapting. The DLC is genuinely great, the first time the Storm series felt like complete, competent storytelling that actually adapted the quiet character moments too and not just the bombastic ones.These games are a nice way of reliving your memories, but what people tend to say that it's better than watching/reading is just not true, it lacks anything but battles. EXCEPT for the DLC for 4, that one is indeed better than watching.TLDR: If you want to refund it, then do that and get Storm 2 instead, it's better in every way and overall the peak of the Storm games. PS2 is still better.

It's not too late. Refund it, it's not worth playing or supporting in (current year). You can justify the mobile port if you have time to kill on your phone but really, the only reason to get this game is if you're autistic and get the whole collection. Otherwise you just want 4 and the DLC. But you don't want that, what you really want is Xenia and Naruto Rise of a Ninja and Broken Bond, two of the best Naruto games ever made. As far as making you feel like you're in and exploring Konoha, these are your best bet. They're not perfect but they're smooth, open-world experiences rooted closer to the early manga/anime years than the Bort Shippuden stuff.

They're so similar in terms of gameplay that the Storm games just come off as simple, underwhelming, and they lean in to the focus on presentation over substance. At least the first 3 had charm. The adventure mode in 3 involving Tsunade and those jewels was kino. I even like the Uzumaki Chronicles games more than the Storm ones.

Liked the overall different iterations of the fights in the story mode. Considering it a bit cheating with how the game Studio had more leeway than the anime side in terms of time and resources but they did on average an better job turning most fights into spectacles within the realms of the worldbuilding.Might Guy vs Madara, Naruto vs Sasuke in Storm 3, Pains invasion expanding a bit more on the other characters (But butchering the confession takes way a few points)
