The racing is great, the balance between easy to pick up and difficult to master is perfect; but WHY are character unlocks tied to a crap gimmicky item that will often not even target you (kamek), why are skins tied to food items, why are stickers the only thing you grind for?!?! If they had made characters unlockable through races or challenging P missions; have skins unlocked through acquiring a new resource through P missions and finding coins in the world, and had world-roam races that you could take part in for additional resource or character rewards; it would be so much more satisfying to explore the world. Its still good but those decisions bewilder me.I also got a good bit of fun out of Pokemon Champions and hitting masterball rank in both singles and doubles (but don't be a meta slave, and personally I think the 'rent-a-team' feature is stupid and ruins build diversity; yeah people will chase the META anyway, but if they can't get Sneasler they might lean into Farigiraf or Tsareena or a ghost support for fakeout immunity; find out that they love it and then pivot away from chasing Sneasler comps and come up with something more interesting that is still viable and competitive; heck I reached Masterball with Corrosive Glimmora and Toxapex lead poisoning everything while taking advantage of wideguard to ruin the day of the many people that spam double hit moves; and then falling back on full tank Venusaur with Synthesis, Protect and Leechside to be an unkillable bastard that just watches while their steel type die to corrosive poison; and then with intimade, fakeout or Sinistcha heal support depending on enemy team).
Kamek unlocks are a non-issue since they added custom items, just start a local 2 player race with only the Kamek item active and spam it. Still dumb not tying the characters to the billion challenges they already have in the game, but it takes no time to get all of them now.

All download codes though, which sucks.But none of them really interest me.
