Unlike most of you I actually tried the "game" to make my own opinion. It's 6/10 at best. It's mediocre and boring to death. 90% of the time I wasn't even holding my controller because the game played itself. That shopping cart part, it steers itself so you don't have to press shit.storywise it doesn't make you feel anything beside boredom. the lines are about literally nothing and easily forgettable. stuff like:>your sister is cool>are shorts metal?>bikes are cool>If I don't get the music on, I panic>let get booze>my parents don't want me to hangout with youit's not bad or good. it's nothing. I bet you can't even repeat all those lines that you just read because you forgot most of them already. Try it now. You see? Better watch a SuperBad 2007 movie.
>>738778173At what point of uninteractivity does a product stop being a video game and becomes an (optionally) interactive movie?
>>738778360I wonder if pressing one button every 5 minute" to continue watching a movie is considered a "gameplay"
>>738778173>The biggest crime a game can commit is it be boring>It's 6/10 at best. It's mediocre and boring to deathYou are contradicting yourself.
>>738778408Yeah. I'm not sure if Mixtape is a video game at all. Its presentation/format is, but you don't actually play it.
Imagine a game like this but based on agartha playlist instead of dogshit 90 songs no one heard about
>>738778423a 6/10 is a sucky game thoughyou are not very smart
>>738778423it got 6 instead of 5 just for the visuals and some cool landscape.5/10 is something that isn't good or bad. It's in the middle of a spectrum. If I was super angry I'd rate it 2/10. If I was having fun I'd rate it 8/10. But it achieves neither hence 5/10 +1 point for visuals
>>738778592Graphics can only improve your experience if the base game is good enough. If you don't enjoy playing no amount of graphics will raise the score above 3.I would even argue you will feel disappointed even more because someone with some talent wasted their time on unplayable garbage.
>>738778526Whatever IGN-kun, no one likes you.
>>738778173 I remember speaking like that in the 90s
>>738778173>Unlike most of you I actually tried the "game" to make my own opinion.>It's 6/10 at bestSounds like another win for the presumption and no-play crew. Can we get some high fives and maybe a little group suckage going on in here?
>>738778773I don't think that's valid reasoning. You're single handedly funding their advertisement budget with these kind of posts
>>738778173Also regarding teh pic nobody would ever say this line and you should be embarrassed to write that but Americans tend towards this over the top cringe writing style for some reason. Its gay
>>738778819I don't think you're valid reasoning. There, how's that on for size, fuck nugget?
>>738778874
>>738778173no sex scene or is that tongue kissing scene as racy as it gets?
>>738778753plenty of people like me, stop projecting
>starts thread with a slogan as a title>contradicts itself with his reasoning>unironically bought the gamelmao fag
>>738778173I'll try this crap only if Larry pays me $50k
>starts thread with a slogan as a title>doesn't contradicts itself with his reasoning>bought the game beacuse he's not poornice king
>>738779054You don't have to even buy this game. Watch it on youtube. There are parts where you don't have to hold your controller for like 5-10 minutes.
Looking forward to this winning game of the year. Miserable cunts on suicide watch.EVERYBODY IT'S A GOOD THINGEVERYBODY WANTS A GOOD THING
>>738778173>90% of the time I wasn't even holding my controller because the game played itself. And this is exactly why journos gave it 10/10
> gameLol
>>738778513>but you don't actually play itRetard, the houses sections of the game require you to move the character and press things to move the story foward. If you want a game that truly plays itself, go play Dispatch and just do nothing, since it chooses on its own the branched dialogue if you don't.
>>738780183Be honest with yourself. Why does this deserve to win any awards? Regardless of your agendas or trolling. Just be honest for a moment
>>738780392buy your logic a movie that pauses itself every 10 minutes and requires you to press a button to continue "playing" is a game as well.
>>738778173Why are people taking this dogshit so seriously, as if it had any sort of importance? Normally we'd have one or two threads to point and laugh at yet another irrelevant woke flop but there's so much unneeded serious discussion around this shit.
>>738778173Why wasn't this just a movie? It's less than 3 hours long and basically a music video.
>>738778592Giving slop like this a 6/10 just shows you are completely beyond saving.I watched 30 minutes of it on a second monitor because I couldn't be bothered turning it off. By that point, it was a solid 2/10 that could maybe rise to a 3/10 if anything interesting happened, but I could already tell that nothing interesting was going to happen.
>>738778173I also played it but liked it a bit more than you. I didn't find it boring the story/music/direction was just good enough to hold my attention for how short it was. If it was longer, I'd probably agree. It was still incredibly overrated by IGN and some other outlets, though it looks like that is normalizing a bit now. For me, it was a 7/10 and only a reccomendable to people who can enjoy zero gameplay "games" and have some nostalgia for their own white amerian middle class pre-internet childhood. It's a simple story with simple themes. But it presents it decently enough.
>>738781971>But it presents it decently enough. Not a single character said that something that sucks is gay or retarded. I'm disappointed
>>738782095Yeah, I would have liked if they did that too. It's obvious why they didn't but they do have the excuse that the whole game is meant to be an unrealistic stylized, overly happy, retelling of childhood. But for me calling people fags in the 90s are my happy memories.
>>738778173Good job copypasting a reddit review
>>738782612Nigga it's my post I'm the OP. I wanted to know what the average joe thinks.
>>738782612btw I got btfo by very smart redditors for posting in asmongold sub
>>738778592>If I was super angry I'd rate it 2/10.Depending on other factors, I can see rating something that made me angry higher than boring game. At least it invoked reaction.
ok so the qrd is:>D-list troonslop VN that you would normally find on page 10 of itch.io catalog>astroturfed to the moon because it was made by some jewish nepo baby failson whose daddy made a couple of phonecalls to the major """gaming journalism""" outlets>the beatings will continue until morale improvesam I missing something?
>Coming of age media>The adversity they face is just petty friendship drama and being mad at their parentsI have hated this shit for as long as it has been a thing.
>>738778173>boring to death>90% of the time I wasn't even holding my controller>it doesn't make you feel anything beside boredom>6/10do you even hear yourself? how does anything you said suggest a 6/10?
>>738780510He wasn't looking forward to retard-kun, he was saying that it's inevitable that it will be pushed for Game of the Year because that's how it always fucking works.
>>738783854Yeah you did lol, and to come here crying about it is doubly pathetic
the worst part is that it's not only a shit game, but the girls aren't hot enough that I'll get to see them getting fucked up in some FOVstudio animations or something along those lineswhat a waste
>>738778173>Unlike most of you I actually tried the "game" to make my own opinion.Good job paying the retarded goyim tax.
>>738785182"Goyim" is plural actually
>>738785543There wasn't a mistake. The con of having to give money to people that hate you in order to have an opinion on it is a retard tax on stupid goyim (plural).
>>738784518Listen my dude the logic is simple though it's not obvious.0/10 something that I fucking hate10/10 something that I fucking love5/10 something that is neither. it's far worse than 0/10 or 10/10. now that I think about it I'm a bit disappointed, I was hoping that the story would be at least interesting.btw this is me playing the game and listening to some random stuff those teenagers were talking about
>>738785182But I didn't buy this game. I don't buy games in general because why would I pay for something I can get for free with no consequences? If I could I'd steal a bread from a dying of hunger child because why not lmao. I hope Gaben won't be too upset if he wouldn't be able to afford his 10th 400mil super yacht.
>>738778173Actually the biggest crime a game can commit in the eyes of publications is having inadequate production quality/value
>>738785593He's paying it individually.
It's a movie, mark it zero
>>738783854>>738783769>asmongold subAbsolutely deserved, whover follow that human cockroach with half a brain is asking for it
>>738780512You haven't played narrative adventure games and it shows
>>738778173NOBODY FUCKING BOUGHT THIS GAMEWHY ARE YOU EVEN TALKING AVOUT IT
