Going into Despair -> Voidsent was kino as all hell but it seemed to not matter after that arc. As someone who only came back to XIV after 7.1 following the EC reveal, I thought it was weird how much world building they decided to add to the 9th in 7.4 with the forward context that the next expansion is seemingly about the 4th. Depending on how much the World Tree is going to matter (it should be noted that on the same elemental chart, there's a tree in the middle of the diagram) we also know that the 9th has a world tree from the lore we got of the replica they made of it in Living Memory. Overall it was just a compelling theory that I wanted to share, personally if they do make an expansion split between the 9th and the 4th, I would prefer the 9th to only get maybe 2 zones rather than 3 zones like they did with the Doma/Ala Mihgo split, with how much 9th content we already got in DT, I dont think it needs 3 more zones for it's story.

>>738805960The mechanics on extreme are not all that intuitive, first phase you have to stack next to the green orb to bait the boss in order to do the spread, and then everything goes to shit in p2, what counts as physical damage, what counts as magical damage, do I go to the same color or opposite?, towers are pretty quick after mechanics, and knockbacks always take people by surprise, then you have to make sure to focus an add at the back of the arena which a lot of people miss...Another good one to troll mentor roulette is Nidhogg ex with the different nails and the spreads and orbs during the final phase.

Kind of excited to see Evercold MSQ scenes just based on the quality of the presentation (animation, angles, lighting, amount of voices vs not voiced, etc.) shown in the Dawntrail patches.Hopefully they can keep that up, but I feel like there might be a bit of a dip, because expansions are just far more story and thus cutscene dense than patches.I'd rather have a shorter MSQ where more is substantial than another one that is drawn out with a shit ton of basic camera angle unvoiced cutscenes, though.
