Normal mode is pretty easy, I had fun with it and thought the first boss was somewhat difficult, but I swapped after that to Hard mode and if you can stomach dying constantly for being foolish or brazen you ended up getting good and its very fun. Fortunately, the game autosaves everything you do. As in, if you need to activate 3 switches to progress, activate 1 then die, you'll restart at a camp nearby but the 1 switch stays activated. It makes it not frustrating to die so often, while maintaining challenging combat that requires you to engage with all of its skills and systems. You can play for 15 minutes and accomplish something.A lot of people don't seem to like losing in a game, and if that's you play on Normal, but it might not be as fun since you can (seemingly, only played the first area on Normal) kinda mash your way through with only worrying about parrying occasionally. On Hard you need to really learn enemy timings.

>>738798036Have fun! Don't get discouraged, Abaddon the first boss (~hour or two in) took me legit 20-30 tries. I even looked up how someone could beat him without being on NG+. When you finally do best him, you realize the fight itself is only maybe 6-7 minutes, and you'll be a master at parrying his attacks with like a 90% success rate. The game does an amazing job at teaching you skills permanently, so Abaddon is all about core mechanics like using damaging combos instead of XXXX or YYYY and mastering parry. Later theres a gun-only section that forces you to learn guns even though I didnt care to when you first acquire them, but now I can easily swap to gun because the game insisted I learn it.

10/10, very nice progression, great controls and responsiveness, good enemy and boss design. Belial and Raven were my favorite bosses. The latter is simply peak boss design, the former is fairly easy, but has the best track in the game. I'm glad Shift Up decided to ditch snoy for SB2.The swimsuit that adds tan lines was peak.
