I fucking love my Switch 2 and Breath of the Wild is the best game i've ever played.

Lots of Pokopia. I boughted my switch last week with that, MKW, Bananza and Air Riders and haven't touched them cause of Poko.
>>What are you looking forward to, or most excited for in 2026 so far?
I have no idea what's even coming out.

I'll take a look. Didn't know they had one.
>>Playing anything on handheld boost mode?
Na I'm to busy. I just play a few hours in the morning, then after work.
>>
>>738795821
Hai. I am playing lego city undercover. It is fun.

I am also playing darksiders 2. I am hoping they fixed the game for switch 2. I was gonna buy trails of whatever. The sky? 1st chapter. Its on sale here for half price but I can't afford it right now.

Xenoblade 1, I played the 3DS version a while ago and completely forgot this one has an extra chapter so I’m going for it
>What are you looking forward to, or most excited for in 2026 so far?
Announced? Splatoon Raiders
Leaked? Probably the Xeno2 Definitive edition

I haven’t checked the newest sale so I will see later

No, always want to have more battery

I was really enjoying xenoblade 2 until I got stuck because I didn't do the side content. That really pissed me off. 30 hours wasted.

Its amazing for splatoon 3. I used the back buttons for the turbo just inking the turf.

>What are you currently enjoying on your Switch 2 /v/?
Just completed Pragmata. Awesome time. Now, I'm heading back to MHS3 though I starting to feel the burnout. The story is nothing while the gameplay is too complex. I much prefer the more simple rock-paper-scissors style of previous titles. I'm also enjoying Tomodachi Life. After work, I will need to play the next Emerald Rush event.
>What are you looking forward to, or most excited for in 2026 so far?
I have Yoshi and Digimon preordered and Star Fox looks cool. Though I do want to try out the 3DS version on my modded 2DS. Also Rhythm Heaven and Splatoon Raiders.
>Did you get anything from the current eShop sales?
Thankfully no. I have too much on my backlog and I need to clear it out. But Nine Sols
>Playing anything on handheld boost mode?
Not really. I've been playing more on my TV.

I want to try more double battles. I hear Dynamax is way better in Doubles.

It's even worse in Xenoblade 3, which has an incredibly short main quest because they chopped off all of the extra content that really should have been in the main story and scattered it around as side quests
Why are devs so afraid to integrate this stuff into the main story
Is it really just because they think everyone is a low attention span zoomer
>>
>>738798868
Good thing I dont plan on playing it anymore then.
>>
>>738798407
Mhs3 has some cool cutscenes. I dont like ones where people just stand around talking static. Im glad they made an effort with that.
>>

>>738799095
MHS3 does so much right. It looks great. Feels great. When the gameplay kicks into high gear, it's great. But there are many small imperfections that are starting to form. The characters get along too well. The conflict feels inexistent. There are way too many moves that are just unavoidable and any time I get an upgrade, it's immediately taken away by a monstie that's slightly stronger. And it's not even that hard. Just tedious.
>>
>>738798868
that was one of the really good things about xc3 you fuking moron
>Why are devs so afraid to integrate this stuff into the main story
you spoiled fuck
you know how rare it is for developers to have the balls to have 60% of amazing main quest worthy content scattered way out of the players path
this isnt the snes days any more, devekopers are forced to work to the bone only on the main quest and most important stuff then the game is rushed out asap

Got mine a couple of weeks ago, currently playing Mario Kart World that came bundled with it, I'm working on getting full stars for the knockout mode and I still need to do all the open world stuff, but I'm not really looking forward to that since I'm not really interested in the open world aspect of Mario Kart, I'd rather just race
>What are you looking forward to, or most excited for in 2026 so far?
Digimon Story Time Stranger in July, indeed I'm gonna preorder it soon
Also Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave and Star Fox
>Did you get anything from the current eShop sales?
No plans to, with Digimon Story Time Stranger's release for the Switch 2 in the horizon along with having already bought some games for the PS5 this month, I'd rather not spend right now even if sales make it tempting
>Playing anything on handheld boost mode?
I only play docked
>>
>>738802942
What title would you hope for? I think the line up is pretty robust this year between Yoshi, Star Fox, Splatoon, and Fire Emblem lurking about.
>>
>>738802942
I've never gotten into the Octopath line of games. Do you recommend?
>>
>>738803492
I just bought engage on sale a few months ago and have yet to play it, so the new one with the black isn’t too appealing. Never cared too much about splatoon, especially a single player only version. A splatoon 4 would have been cool. Yoshi looks like a game for fetuses that makes the current fetus game look like dark souls. Idk it’s not my job to give Nintendo ideas on what to release. And judging from their sales figures I’m not the only one not satisfied with their current line up.
I’d be happy with the OOT remake that is probably happening. At least then we’d have something worth buying.
>>
>>738803887
Never played the octopath games outside of the demos. They look cool but I just don’t have it in me to grind in a jrpg which is apparently a problem with the series. Elliot isn’t a turn based game like that from the demo. Shit was fun and hooked me right away.
>>
>>738802942

>I haven't seen anyone having drifting issues with the switch 2
speaking of drifting issues, I'm starting to think the drift only happened with the switch 1 first year models because I only had drift on my first joycon set and didn't get drift ever again after the replacement. My second joycon set NEVER had the drifting problem
>>
>>738807721
drift is not really a given, some people will just not experience it for one reason or another, my cousin had a day one switch and his joycons never developed drifting problems, meanwhile my joycons that came with my switch that I bought 2 years ago already have drifting issues

astral chain would benefit a lot from 60fps and bayonetta games need higher resolution, even docked they're 720p at best so handheld boost does nothing for them

ted talk: love nintendo. got a wii u launch day. obviously had many 3ds’s. got mk8 and bayonetta 2 and botw the day they came out, on the wii u. never got a switch. I thought, I already have a machine to play botw. I’ll buy a switch when there’s games I cant play on the wii u. then mk8. dk tropical freeze. smash ultimate is just smash for the wii u with less frames on hit confirms. eventually I thought, I’ll buy a switch when there’s a “switch pro”. but that never came. but the steam deck did eventually exist. so I got that, because it was about the same price as a switch here, and could play valheim. and I never did just buy a switch. now I’m there’s a switch 2. and it’s 700 bucks in leafland. and I already have a portable handheld pc that can play cyberpunk and rivals. I dunno. nine years now and I’ll just never get a switch and just keep the wii u around somewhere. but I miss nintendo

>>

seconding this, loved XB1 but couldn't get into 2. Got a couple chapters in but the combat isn't as satisfying to me.
>>

played the dk bananza event and a bit of FE path of radience last night
splatoon raiders is most anticipated game right now but I also got star fox and digimon preordered, gonna grab rhythm heaven as well

Played the banaza event and accidentally died in the last 10 seconds and failed to get the final statue. Damn, at least I crushed it on my second attempt (got x4 the needed amount). This marks the 2nd event I didn't get on my first try. Fuck the snake form

Make sure to use the 3D effect, it's ridiculously awesome
>>
>>738795821
I'm playing Tears of the Kingdom Switch 2 edition, I hope that Nintendo make at least 1 more game in this same style with this same engine, there's so much more they can do with the new hardware, I'd love to see a fully realized Hyrule Market town, as well as new lands.
Other than that I'm waiting for more games, third parties suck, at this rate I don't think I will buy a single third party Switch 2 title.
>>
>>738843034
I definitely believe they are going to make them in the open world style, but I have my doubts they will retain mechanics that are tied into the identity of those games, namely the way weapons are handled. Nintendo aren't ones to keep doing the same gimmicks.
>>
>>738843332
I'd rather they just do 1 more in that same family and then do whatever they want after that, I think there's a lot they can still do, even if they just stay in Hyrule.
>>
>>738838864
consensus how? as in better than the 2015 original?
in my opinion, the base game is a lot better, so many QoL additions, plus a little bit of new content (mainly 3 new party members, a new skell, and some cosmetics).
the new prologue is... divisive among fans, to say the least, but it didn't ruin the game for me.
if you havent played it and are asking how it compares to the other xenoblade games? that will depend on what aspects you liked from each game.
combat-wise it's closest to 1 but it's so much better. very customizable, imo overdrive is much better than the chain attacks in 1,
however story-wise, most of it is rather poor compared to the other games (the world building is cool to me at least)
speaking of worlds, its world is the best in the series, i dont even think its contentious to say that.
sidequests are also the best in the series, though thats not a particularly hard bar to clear

>>
>>738844597
ah yes, because tipping bad devs correlates to buying a console.. somehow..
>>
>>738843034
Same engine yes. Same style? Ehh... I'd like to see some limitations that make traveling more grounded than climb everything/hoverbike. Also I want more density and variety of content. Like having heart pieces as overworld puzzles again. You can have stamina drops as stamina puzzles. And magic phials for magic puzzles. Also make dungeons actually part of the overworld with both big dungeons and mini dungeons.
>>
Is it worth it to try totk if I didn't like botw?
I mainly had a problem with the weapon durability system
>>
>>738846432
If you enjoyed BOTW overall then yes you'll enjoy TOTK. It does largely fix the durability system with a new ability
>>
>>738846432
It's a lot more fleshed out in many aspects but it's still built on the same foundations and reuses a lot of content. Weapon durability is still a thing, it's more nuanced because you can fuse tons of other items to weapons to give them different properties and alter their durability but if you're annoyed at the concept in general, I doubt it'll change your mind.
>>
>>738846432
You're not going to like the sequel since it's essentially the same title at its core, and the building aspect is more obnoxious if anything. The weapon durability is still present with just a patch-up ability to fuse one weapon + any prop into a strong weapon, but the main problem is still there. As much as I found BotW to be mediocre too, TotK is a far worse videogame by comparison.
>>
Playing Wild Heart S atm, man how did they flop so hard with this? Gameplay wise I like it more than Toukiden.
Also too bad the game kinda infested with wokecrap, even if it's not that invasive.
>>
Christ I wish MKW had a classic mode for online. 12 racers, 3 laps.
As much as I hate MK8D's Scooty-Puff Junior + Rollers + Yoshi niggers, at least I can usually tell what the fuck hit me. MKW is just an endless fuckpile.
>>
I randomly play Smash Ultimate matches throughout the day daily, then sometimes take a break for a few weeks. I bought Onimusha 1 & 2 and I'm probably halfthrough 2, a franchise I had no idea even existed, and it was odd to me that I never knew considering it's a Capcom franchise. I found out through a thread on here recently. It's pretty fun, I like old obscure action games with somewhat clunky controls.

>>Playing anything on handheld boost mode?
I don't know what boost mode is, but if I assume it makes games run faster with lesser battery life I'm stoked to replay pokemon sword.
>>
>>738848196
>I heard the switch 1 port was borked
More that it was a rare instance of an actual downgraded port, something that was more common in the PS2/Gamecube days, or old home console games vs their portable counterparts. In Hogwart's case, I've read the areas were fragmented into smaller zones in the Switch 1 version iirc.
>>
>>738848196
>I don't know what boost mode is
It forces Switch 1 games played on Switch 2 to run at docked mode specs in handheld. For several games this means 1080p instead of 720 and higher level of detail in general.
>>
>>738846151
I don't want any of your changes, I want the devs to go back to that engine and think what can they do with the new hardware.
>>
>>738846432
there is a glitch in the switch2 version using the sharing blueprints system.
you can create a powerful weapon with infinite durability ans use it for the whole game. makes the game way better.

I can't get over the chemistry system. For me, it's the secret sauce that makes BOTW/TOTK legendary for me. I admit, I've grown tired of BOTW's universe, but if they were to add more effects in the next game, I'm in. But I have also have a theory on what the next Zelda game will incorporate. tl;dr Based on their work and comments with Koei Tecmo, Zelda is going to focus on building armies.

I didn't care for the catching system and lack of abilities. Love the visual style. I hope we get another topdown Pokémon that looks like that.

I can't find the particular interview, but I believe Eiji Aonuma commented on how working with Koei Tecmo will inspire the next Zelda game. Then we have TOTK where you can have allies fight alongside you in battle. Therefore my theory is that the next Zelda will feature larger scale battles and you can recruit and train NPCs to fight with you. It'll still play like BOTW/TOTK but with more enemies and allies on screen. Am I reading too much into it? Sure, but it's fun to speculate.

same story but for the 3ds (returns on wii sucks)
you are clearly a tendie bc 7/10 of your games are nintendo developed so you must have a wii / wii u / 3ds right

i understand the portability appeal of switch but 3ds is portable too and galaxy games were designed with wii pointer controls

I have a serious question and I'm not trying to start a flamewar, insult anyone for being poor, etc.
This business with the NS2 price situation has really made me question what most people do with their finances.

I consider myself pretty poor, living in a poor area, last year I was working two jobs, one of them minimum wage and the other was a tiny bit better because it was a nepo hire but not by much. I worked like a dog during the day and did IT work three nights a week.

When the Switch 2 came out, I was able to get the MKW bundle + the Pro Controller. I also bought Bananza, Air Riders, and Prime 4 as they came out. I have a massive eShop wishlist and usually get a good haul of 3-4 titles when they're on sale. I have no plan on stopping any time soon and have preordered Star Fox.

All this to say - why are so many people online, especially those in supposedly wealthy countries like America, UK, Germany, etc, all crying that they've been priced out? I live a very normal life for the amount I make. The bills and food costs are very high, sure, but I don't drink, smoke, or snack. I live in a nice apartment with my family. I still build savings.

Is there something I'm missing here? I could understand families being priced out, but adults who are working and single? Really? What's the barrier?
>>
>>738854983
It's more about being conscious of the value of things and the money you spend. I don't mean to snob, but I'm quite rich, I have plenty of money that I could buy all consoles and a top tier PC with no effort at all, a switch 2 price hike is nothing to me, still I know that my wealth is not to be taken for granted and it's possible that if some mishaps take place I could lose it. Not even saying that I think the new switch 2 price is unfair or whatnot, but before buying something I always ask, is it worth the money I'm spending? As of this price hike, my answer would still be yes, it is, but I don't know if I could keep answering the same if further hikes occur, and there are people poorer than me are gonna be changing their minds after this hike
>>
>>738854983
Self-impulse. The same people raging not complaining/has issues about Nintendo's price are the same people who HAVE to doordash their meals and/or whale on some F2P jpeg collector. I make my own meals and avoid streaming services and I could buy two Switch 2s after one paycheck (if you can't buy it twice, you can't afford it once).
>>
>>738854983
the people complaining fall into three camps
1. seething snoys who were never going to buy the thing anyway
2. tendies who used to buy literally every single nintendo product just for the sake of owning it and now theyre crying that they cant afford to buy everything anymore
3. as you pointed out. struggling families
only one of these groups has a legitimate right to complain
ill let you decide who
>>
>>738854983
I’ve been wondering the same thing, I think most people are more impulsive on their purchases or something, but for me a $60 or $70 game it’s just the same, I could just not eat a snack one day and I already “covered” the price difference, I can understand a difference of $50 and $80 like Star Fox and MKW
But I just don’t understand, the Switch 2 will become 30 Euros more expensive in EU and I’ve seen a lot of people saying it’s now dead, but I just can’t comprehend how 30 Euros could make such a difference
>>

Theyre a country of misers, what do you expect? They kick their own children out at 18
Have you seen how much they sob and clutch their pearls at the thought of a semi subsidised healthcare system
They get so upset that they erroneously call it "socialist" or "commie nonsense" because theyre so mindbroken by the cold war
The indoctorination runs so deep that they defend a predatory insurance cartel with nonsense arguments like "My money shouldnt be used to help with other peoples health problems"
All while they boast to the rest of the world that theyre the last bastion of strong community and common decency
Herge called America a barbaric nation and one century later he has been proven correct

Engage doesn't make the best first impression and it's way too light-hearted for most, but when the gameplay clicks, it's so good. Three Houses' story and cast are better but the map design is lacking.

Engage is better gameplay wise, 3H has better story but it distances itself from FE more, it’s kinda more like FE meets Persona

>Is there something I'm missing here?
You have to bear in mind that most of the complaints online are just there for the sake of complaining and virtue-signaling. I'm not exaggerating when I say there was a constant storm of online misinfo in regards of the Switch 2 since its reveal, as well as people wishing it was a flop. The console proved there is a strong disconnect between the real world and the current Internet.

And besides, I consider the price hikes of food and car gasoline to have a much stronger impact in everyday life (of a western european like myself too) than the hikes in videogames which are entirely a non-issue by comparison.

Some are still doing it. DF said games like Indiana Jones would be impossible, NS2 was "ps4 level" etc. Now NS2 version looks better than xbox series s and the NS2 version is only "decent." Blatantly lying about Nintendo all the time

I always assume it's mostly because there's things they spend their money on they are unwilling to forgo to afford the Switch 2 and the games. I also think there's a lot of people just being frustrated *with the prices of the console, and not just being unable to afford it generally. Nintendo hasn't been pulling these prices for very long mind you, they started it with Switch 1 just 9 years back.
