I remember watching the anime after seeing it was like 2nd place on top anime list. And it was kinda meh. Didn't know what people see in it. I read VN a few years later and I absolutely loved.

I was able to push through this game back then because the girls were hot, but otherwise it would've been unbearable.
I think the game hit a critical mass in popularity to where people now have to pretend to dislike it so they can be cool online. I didn't know it was that popular. I liked it.
