iirc it's just a hallway with buttons for audio messages that explain how to set up your camp area you use for showing off your rare loot in gaudy fomoshop dollhouses. You leave the vault and you're in the newbie forest in the overworld after less than a minute. For whatever reason I didn't see the starter pistol so I accidentally had a fun hobo phase where I was starving for resources.
