>From Samurai to Yokai to ShogunIf Nioh 4 even comes out, then is Kami the next step?
>>738816201Probably waiting to see what duskbloods is like before they copy it. It is shameful how much that studio just copies whatever from is doing.
>>738816386You say that like Team Ninja is a mainland Asian company
>>738816520No I'm talking about how they started making sekiro likes right after sekiro came out.
>>738816807Incorrect. Nioh 1 came out two years before Sekiro
I bought Nioh 3 fist day but I haven't played it yet. Everyone says it was dogshit so I'm kind of afraid of playing it. Which is pretty ironic given how I played Code Vein 2 when it launched and got all the achievements. Not even a Nioh 2 tourist, I bought the first Nioh on PS4 on launch and it was my favorite PS4 game after Bloodborne, and then replayed it when it came out on PC.
>>738817171Most of the complaints are personal gripes, you might not feel the same way unless one or more of the following is true:1. You hate open world games2. You have a toaster that can't run it well3. You only care about games being super duper hard right from the start4. You mained a weapon that no longer has access to stance switching and ki pulse due to it being distributed to Ninja mode instead5. You have a favorite yokai that wasn't included in the base game6. You wanted to jack off to Fuku's exposed side boobs and thighs7. You wanted William to appear in this game8. You hate the character creation for arbitrary reasons
>>738816386Their last decade of output is definitely derivative of Fromsoft. But to be fair Team Ninja was very influential in the 2000's even to Fromsoft who tried their hand at a "ninja gaiden-like". As well as the "evil red attack signal that requires a special input" that From used in sekiro, was started in ninja gaiden 3.
>>738816386Yasuda openly saying they dont know how to design anything else than Nioh clones that itself is souls clone is insane but I appreciate honesty lmao. I wonder how new DoA will play but I wont be suprised at all if entire battle system design will be copied from random old DoA entry and thats it.
>>738817760>3. You only care about games being super duper hard right from the startThis one is a massive red flag for me. To me Code Vein 2's biggest flaw and what made it inferior to the original was it being way too easy, like journalist easy. And I'm not even one of those miserable "I only do level 1 runs without using 99% of the game's gameplay mechanics" tryhards; I just want the games to challenge me. It seems that Nioh 3 makes the same mistake.
>>738818502The thing is is that it's both not too easy and not too hard. If you're a veteran of this series, you'll find that it's not as hard as it's predecessors, especially if you use Ninja Mode which can trivialize a lot of encounters, though you can still get punished and die for mistakes. And honestly much like it's predecessors, the difficulty is very inconsistent too as some bosses early into the game or even somewhere in the middle can be ridiculously hard compared to end game bosses.
Takechiyo is basically some sort of a saint in the game. He has insane connection to guardian spirits and apparently he's the only one capable of wielding Kusanagi in the entire timeline.
>>738816386Nioh has deeper combat than FS titles.
>>738823726yes we know, making this Iemitsu very very different from the real one, at least that's the point they want to come across with
>>738816201>kamiThat's basically Jack since he becomes Chaos.
