they made new achievements (ported ep1 and ep2 chivos to hl2), maybe they had to make their names unique (like unique to steam) or something like that, or just not to confuse them while testing. Like chivos being in the same game makes it so they can't really just copy paster the code, they had to make tham work only on their specific maps or something like that.
