Then the new story of a rising Alliance/Horde conflict and old antagonists like Neltharion coming back that ended with MOP where we visit Chen's ancestral land. Second time they could have ended it. Then they pulled a "somehow Palpatine returned" with the Burning Legion with WOD and Legion. The strongest faction, the overarching villains including Sargeras, Kiljaeden and Archimonde including a second Gul'dan ALL dead or imprisoned. Third time to end. Then they just kept creating filler or new antagonists or conflicts that popped out of nowhere, ruining areas like the Dragon Isles in the process. They had to invent new villains and subvert old concepts just to keep it all going.

The characters are more like humans from a colony planet 50 jillion years in an alternate future, even if the game is fantasy. If we could just be honest about them, there's lots of ways we could have black characters in games.
