I remember watching its TOP 8 at EVO, and seeing many in the chat call the game boring and "sauceless". What makes City of The Wolves such an unappealing product to people? The only other Fighting Game in years I've seen have such low-appeal and impact has been Nen Impact.

I don't care about Fatal Fury or King of Fighters or whatever. The characters look dumb. Ugly artstyle. And the guests are even worse, not just the divegrass sissy, but the DJ as well. And they picked such boring Street Fighter reps. Mechanically it looks unoriginal. The only interesting thing is being able to switch lanes between foreground and background but bizarrely you can only do this on one stage
