The White Glint ingame AC seems to be what they expect the player to use. It's not always the best possible loadout, but it's always good. It goes for speed, has two assault rilfles and two missile launchers.

If you're emulating you have to go into the folder, copy and rename the saves to the name of the next game to be able to load them in
Original PS1 should be able to just pull the save directly without fiddling
