How would a dunmeshi game play like? I imagine something similar to darkest dungeon (since Ryoko loves it) with cooking mechanics and enemies drop ingredients and other stuff
>>738838736100 hours of cooking and sex with Marcille/Falin.
I'm playing dark and darker.
>>738838736>anime garbageLike ass. Anime sludge always makes for shitty games.
It would make a shit video game since it's inspired by TTRPGs and only in that genre would an adaptation make sense. t. fa/tg/uy
>>738839040And any time anyone has attempted it, it turns out like unplayable ass.
>>738838736Classic isometric rpg, takes place in a completely different dungeon from the original story, you create your own party ala Icewind Dale.
so monster menu?
>>738838736Just make it a dating sim.
I take it you never heard of Deep Dish Dungeon.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bzFH3lxEX0
>>738838736Something like Monster Hunter Stories. With emphasis on maintaining a healthy status for the party members
loldurs gate 1/2 style CRPG with an elaborate crafting system that you're forced to utilize in harder difficulties
>>738838736Like the non hunting parts of monster hunter
I don't think it lends itself well to vidya. The action is less combat and more like puzzle solving so it'd have limited replayability. Cooking could be a minigame but in the series cooking actually isn't that big a deal, normally getting 2-3 page montages at most (aside from the last volume. What makes it good wouldn't translate easily.

>>738838736JRPG ofc. One half is dungeon crawling, the other half is social sim with activities like cooking/interacting with meshi's characters etc.
>>738838736Trial and error mixing and matching ingredients. Most recipes would make sense but some would require exploration or talking to NPCs with specific knowledge to figure out.
Do you think Laios ever...
Darkest Dungeon is part of Dungeon Meshi canon
Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold
>>738838736Maybe plays something like Into the Depths or Edypos.
>>738838736Literally the cooking/restaurant gimmick in Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold. You dungeon dive, kill monsters which drop usual resources and ingredients collected in a different menu, go back to the town and do trial-and-error attempts on recipes from hints and tomes before unlocking them, then consume the recipes to get some in-game in-dungeon perks for the next dive and so on.
>>738840517From playing the demo this game sadly doesn't scratch the itch for involved dungeon diving at all or do anything special with food to warrant its name. The cooking is extremely bare bones, like throw shit on a stick over a fire or put in a pot and watch a meter fill till ready like every single other survival crafting game. There's no food preparation, specialized ingredients from mobs (they all drop the same universalized 'meat' item) or anything. You don't even need to to eat food in the first place, drinking water alone (sourced from infinite springs scattered around everywhere) gives enough of a health buff that it makes bothering with food redundant.
