Guys i cant make a definitive choice between Halo 1-3. They're all uniquely good.

For multiplayer I'm going2 > 3 > 1 > 5 > Infinite > 4 > Reach

Reach has the best story and despite people bitching about armor abilities, the multiplayer isn't different from the previous games in any meaningful way. Multiplayer is just a sideshow to the story anyway. The campaign would work on its own, but multiplayer without the story would be just as incoherent as High Guard. There's nothing so grand in halo MP that would let it stand on its own for 25 years.

Some people hate it but that doesn't change the fact that I had a lot of fun with it.
For the campaigns I liked CE best, as nothing captures the alien or mysterious feeling mixed with great solo game play better. But for multiplayer its just about a toss up between Halos 3 and Reach for me, back when they were at there peaks on the 360. Nothing beats the combination of custom games and forge maps they had, along with the healthy player bases that guaranteed game invites and private lobby fills all the time. For 343 shit though, I guess Halo 5 for it's multiplayer. It's too fucking bad they didn't carry that shit they were doing well with in 5 forward into Infinite. What a fucking waste the series has been after Reach.
