>>738867020It's a modern pure doom-like. It's literally Doom 2016 but with Mickey Mouse. You have high-octane arena fights then quick platforming puzzles that follow a narrative. "Boomer-shooter" is not a pejorative here, it's a perfect game.
>>738869865Yeah it's a very solid shooter so far, and I consider myself a connoisseur of FPS. I like the dash and Duke 3D kick mechanic. I'm playing on the hardest difficulty and I feel like the game forces you to weapon switch and use all your mechanics as tools to progress which I like. The story is fun and the voice acting is good. It's a much better FPS than I thought it would be.
There's something pretty amusing about how the whole internet raged at IGN for saying that a heccin wholesome chungus ambitious indie game with a RETROOOOOO cartoon artstyle is merely 6/10 then people started playing it and had to admit that IGN was right this time
