>the best superhero game ever made>and its not even closeHow do we go from peak like this to absolute shit like that suicide squad game? This game set the perfect formula for hero games and it should have given us a decade of absolute kino sequels and DC versions of said game, what do you think? Is it overrated or do you like it as much as I do?>honorable mention: Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects
>>738854425Playing the X-Men versions of these games and UA itself were really fun parts of my childhood. I remember them being brutally difficult, though that might have been because I was a dumb little kid. Either way I was super disappointed with how UA3 played, it just felt off compared to the others and also way too easy
XML2 is better
>>738855541Eeeeeh, the "RPG mechanics" were half baked desu senpai
>>738855619Demolishing everything with Juggernaut was peak kino
Wonder if Nintendo will ask Koei Tecmo/Team Ninja to make an Ultimate Alliance 4, since they did just that for Ultimate Alliance 3.
>>738854425I vividly remember playing on hard, having 3/4 teammates getting knocked out, and just teleport spamming with Deadpool until I chopped the boss down. Made me go out and buy his comics.
>>738856948For me i ended up playing with Spiderman quite a lot, I just really enjoyed his abilities and playstyle, plus the mobility the web slinging offers. Overall the game was great. For me personally, my favorite part is always the carnival level.
>>738855541This, even Legends 1, at least I remember having more fun with both Legends games than Ultimate Alliance.
>>738855968I never ended up playing the sequels cause I heard they weren't very good, os that true or should I give em a try?
>>738854425Games up until gen 7ish were gameplay focused, with an emphasis on funWhen normies entered the landscape en masse, so did the "need" for mature storytime so they can pretend they're not playing an overly sophisticated toy, and with that, as well as a industry wide emphasis on realistic human "experiences", in part because grafux and immersion faggots, you get social commentary as wellIt doesn't help that the industry is immensely creativity bankrupt and can only make 1 of 6 or 7 genres anymore because UE limitations, incompetence, or laziness tl;drOld good, new bad
it was good, very fun. I heard the sequels were shit.
>>738854425because 1 suicide squad is dc not marvel
>>738858402Im aware, but you'd think DC would copy such a good game since they're in direct competition.
>>738854425>mid game is the best superhero game ever madewhy are superhero games so shit? How has no one made a legit great one yet?
>>738856948>teleport spamming with Deadpool until I chopped the boss down.Same, that's how I beat the final boss in Ultimate Alliance 2. Deadpool had health regen, too.
>>738861105>mid gameWell, you're being pretty honest about having shit taste so ill let it slide.
>>738854425>DC versions of said gameThat existed, kind of
>>738860106niether company know what they are doing game wise if we are being for real. if this was the good timeline, we would have spider-man games that embrace the fantasy of the universe, wonder woman wouldn't be cancelled, and we would have a batman beyond game that also wasnt cancelled
>>738860106They did and it was called justice league heroes and you never heard of it because it flopped and sucked
>>738854425I still like X-Men Legends more, but yeah, MUA was fun as fuck. MUA2 was nice with the combo moves, too.
>>738855968MUA3 is slop. If we're to get a MUA4, I'd rather it be someone else who does it.
>>738854425gets mogged by pic related, but really, both games were great, and is not me being blinded by nostalgia because i came to play them as an adult not so long ago
>>738864543When's the last time we got any actually good DC games other than the batman arkham series?
>>738855478The game is terribly unbalanced, so if you pick bad heroes it can be very difficult, especially if you're under some impression that you should occasionally change team members
