I've been playing games for about 30 years and I have never even put like 200 hours into any 1 game never mind over 1000 hours. I dunno how you people dont get insanely bored putting so many hours into 1 game. I'd say the most I ever put into any 1 game would be around 150 hours and the list of games I did that with would be less than 10 games and I have played about 1000 games.

There's a decent number of people, including myself to an extent, who want a game to be hard so they have a challenge to overcome. They are supposed to be fun, though, and nobody should seek out the hardest games in existence just so they can say they beat it.
