Havent played in ages. I liked Aliiance questing areas, felt like a standard fantasy. I also liked playing orcs specifically because I also happened to like the barbarian fantasy and their zones are cool for it.

Id like to be able to buy WoW and just run it singleplayer or coop and fuck with a few settings to make it fasciliate that, like adding NPC followers for party members etc. I liked playing classic again but fuck paying a sub fee for this, especially since it all leads to more for Retail, it feels like you cant take your time and have to rush everything when youre paying a subscription fee. This one's only really relevant for vanilla because alliance racials were a shitload better for pve, but horde dominated them anyway due to superior players.
Once faction changes came in the top players switched to horde. Method was originally an alliance guild and permanently 2nd place, and then started dominating once they finally bit the bullet and switched to Horde. Nowadays people are just whichever race is best.

This is even more apparent with pvp where people would have multiple characters on each faction and switch depending on current balance. In actual original vanilla, horde were 100% the better players and it's impossible to argue against this. After that, there was no horde vs alliance anymore. It was just a bunch of gay mercs switching sides to abuse the better racials.

I played horde but I didn’t care that much about the factions and wanted mostly to be a big fucking hero
But BfA bent the needle too far and I couldn’t rectify being “a big hero” and horde so I quit at the end of legion
I keep abreast of WoWs goings on still and in typical blizz overcorrection, pretty much everything’s been power of friendship, but they’ve basically just ignored horde instead of trying to fix what they broke
Even the “return to quelthalas” expansion has kinda been about void elves and high elves more than blood elves

The Horde mathematically has stronger racials for both PvE and PvP, and other than Salvation has the much stronger class. The Horde is objectively the stronger and easier faction in Vanilla, both with mechanical strengths and convenience like travel, world buffs, dungeon availability, questing zones, etc. The only real upside Alliance has is aesthetic and writing.

Each and every questline (idk about recent expansions, obviously) about secretly undermining the Horde or prioritising the Forsaken even at the cost of the rest of the Horde's interests are kino. They obviously can't have the Forsaken break off from the Horde for gameplay reasons, but lorewise I love the idea that they just keep up pretenses for as long as they have to, and never focus on anything else than their own gain.
