>try a new a fan game >play the mercy route first >it sucks >play the no mercy route >start having fun Why is it like this every single time? The only fan game where I had more fun on the mercy route was deltatraveler.
>>738860524Isn't the whole point that mercy/doing the right thing is harder/less fun though?
>>738860524Just be a fan of better games instead of a dogshit series for low-effort human slime.

>>738860524>Why is it like this every single time?because the gameplay relies on conflict.
>>738860809No, in UT/DR it's always faster and more interesting to spare than to fight.
>>738860809It kind of depends on the game, but specifically in Undertale or Deltarune's case the actual fun part where you play the game mostly plays out in the pacifist playthrough, which doesn't mean you can't attack at all like some people think, it's a deliberately left in mechanic but not tutorialized that you can attack enemies to spare them (because bosses typically ignore this qualifier). For some games though, the clear intent is to attack enemies and it's not a specific clear condition to beat the game without doing so and the game can become actively unpleasant if you try to.
>>738860524we should wait to discuss this tomorrow
