It's such a slog that I've tried replaying the game many times and can never get out of the first tutorial area because it's full of cutscenes, npc talk, scripted events and other hand holding garbage.
It takes like 6-8 hours before the game actually opens up and lets you just play.
The start of the game is so fucking bad it feels like having to climb a mountain before you can go on a leisurely walk.

Zelda games always started quickly, the first one in just seconds and OoT in a few minutes if you knew what do do, and as the series progressed it took longer and longer to start up to the point where TP and I believe SS just go on forever in heavy handed hand holding and story that the series was never known for.

Mastermind isn't too bad but I generally have little patience for puzzles like this because they're functionally solved like Hanoi: Once you know what you're supposed to do its just a case of doing that every single time. At least a crossword has different words/clues or a shitty pipe puzzle has different entry/exit points and pipe shapes/obstacles or whatever.

Done by X5's development team, opening stage's design seems to have been one of the first things they finished, as the E3 version has it be near identical, but with very different visuals. After E3, they showed some of the other boss stages with early graphics and seemed to work on Nightmare stuff, but some of the previews are likely lost now as they were mostly kept to the Japanese side of things, like two versions of the game's site. The prototype we have indicates that difficulty mode changes were implemented late, as it doesn't have a lot of them. There isn't much that is known, the only instances of the developers speaking about X6 are in Capcom Music Generation Rockman X1~X6 and the X series artbook, and neither offer much info.
