hope the next demo has a harder level in the garage, posadochny is too easy

I found it relatively tough, with a mog.

Just got the 2nd power suit with the shield but it feels much worse than the Carmine. Getting into a shootout and loading everything that isn't nailed down into the back of the van is great, but I really hope they make some improvements to the inventory system.
Also don't leave your shit on the ground, the game lies about that. Pretty sure you need to actually deposit stuff into the armory.
Is there a better SMG than pic related? All the others I've tried seem worse.
>>
>>738865702
Carmine and loyalist are the only really good suits right now (there's some vehicles you need the loyalist to pilot). Dromon is shit and cinderblock is fun but way too gimped, only really suitable for very short and not too hard missions.
Pretty sure the game tells you not to leave things on the ground, other than the vehicle storage pads. The armory has infinite storage.
Can't give you tips about smgs, I don't use them
>>
>>738866034
I know it says not to leave vehicles out of parking spaces or they'll be scrapped, but I could've sworn the game claims stuff left on the floor will be stored.
Shame about the Dromon, but whatever. At least the Carmine is a nice big step up and you can't lose it on death.
>>
Cindeblock rig is trash, I was lied to
>>
>>738866813
It's really fun to zoom around in, I usually use it if I wanna quickly check if the merchant has something in stock. But it's so underpowered for something so restrictive.

>spend about four tries on Wilderness
>FINALLY make it out alive by just skipping most of the map by going around the left edge of the map
>do Kolchak Park, also rated "MEDIUM"
>it's actually piss easy, even without the Carmine, and the egg villa has a large crate that, at least for me, has most of the time the very kind of explosives I could have used in Wilderness
Fucking hell. Protip to the newbs: Do Kolchak before Wilderness

Also, I just love the Duiker Carbine. It deleted unarmored mooks from across the screen.

Fucking hell, I already have over ten hours in this demo. Other games would ask full price for this.

>>738865702
>Is there a better SMG than pic related?
It's excellent very early on, but I found that I like the MP5 more since 9mm becomes so bountiful you will NEVER run out, and it's very precise.
>>
>>738866686
IQUIOT THE GAME CUZ IT TOLD ME THAT AND I THOUGHT OFFLOADING 50 ITEMS FROM MY 2ND MISSION WOULD QUICK STORE BUT IT ATE MOST OF IT (ALL THE WEAPONS)
ALSO, THIS IS JUST A SMALL TECH DEMO. GAMES SHOULDVE BEEN DOING THIS 30 YEARS AGO
FUCK THIS GAME AND ITS ILK
>>
>>738866950

If you can get ahold of one the kriel aleph carried me through a lot of the early levels, it's not silenced like the duiker but it does substantially more damage and has twice the mag size.
>>
>>738867298
Yeah this gun is really reliable, just crouch and the burst shot will take care of multiple mooks if they are stacked.
>>
What's the biggest vehicle you fight in game?
>>
>>738867282
A bunch of heavy weapons are in the game like the köing, ploughman, harvester, etc. Haven't found something that can mount most of them yet, biggest mount I've got is the rounder at 390 weight but some of these go over 400
>>
>>738867443
I think the armored APCs unfortunately
>>
>>738867298
Shame I still haven't found any 7.62 in ANY level earlier than wilderness
>>

Well nice to see some things hasn't changed
>>
>>738867529
You can get it in aubery's neighborhood and even shoreline I think
>>
>>738867529
You can do ez sinkhole runs since the top levels have a lot of ammo and usually just a few corvid
>>
>>738867594
As I said, I have yet to find ANY 7.62 in any earlier levels, and I did Shoreline and Aubrey a bunch of times because one anon claimed to have found lots of LAWs and thermobaric grenades in Shoreline.
>>
>>738867048
I found that missions really ramps up in difficulty starting from Wilderness. Armored vehicles drains HP like crazy and one dude with a mech/suit can quickly pops up unexpectedly and absolutely destroy you.
>>
>>738867840
Dromon really surprised me because I didn't really read the description.
I domed a bunch of corvid punks in the scrapyard - sure, there was a coffin, but he didn't really pose a challenge - and then I am in some underground thing with THREE fucking Mogs.
Gladly I had found a Thumper on a dude upstairs, and the 40mm knock them down, but the moment I realized what was going was a bit of an "OH SHIT" moment.
And all for some gay cape, and I didn't even get any mech parts from it. At least a forklift though.

>>
>>738868109
I don't know if it's a bug but I realized Mogs and the sniper dude across the bridge don't attack me if I don't shoot first. Tried to rush this map the second time with a loader van, expected some heavy fire underground, nope. Too bad the Dromon suit is not so great with anything else but sniper riffle
>>
>>738868772
Some people were done with it in 10h, I've got 17h and I still haven't done everything yet.
>>
>>738868816

>>
>>738868946
oh nice i'll actually download then
>>
>>738869741
Just so you know the campaign is pretty short, but it's basically just a tutorial for the garage mode which is the meat of the game
>>
>>738865572
mog is literally the easymode in posadochny because it retains your footslogger stealth value while still being able to carry vehicle tier armor/weapons/ammo/cargo (not to mention it's also shielded). if you want a real challenge just use literally any of the other vehicles
>>
Am I correct in my assumption that the loader van can only take two large and one small crate?
>>
>>738866034

I beg your pardon, dromon let me clear vandenberg almost without leaving the spawn

>>738872346
no, grind the sinkhole like anyone else
>>
>>738872346
You can sell him anything he sells you, so mostly ammo. The ammo depot is a good source of money for that, but can be hard early on. Vandenberg has two chests with a combined 4k in them, but you have to clear the map to be allowed to leave (there's also an armored APC). If you get to 10k you can also just buy the light weapon box and sell the merchant back the ammo and make 30k raw profit)
>>
>>738871907
Use very loud impact guns, or explosives if possible (i used the fiddy cal sniper, the 7.62 MG, and the thumper) to snipe the first row of cops. The rear lines will now flock towards the impact sites to investigate, but they still won't spot you (because you're just so fucking far away). Have fun shooting them fishes in the barrel
>>
>>738872774

Pre log in question:
>GRAVESEND PINBALL
>Every horrible story you ever heard about Gravesend is true, near as I can tell. Slave Rock. If human history is a catalogue of successive refinements on sadism and imprisonment, Gravesend is the logical endpoint. Perfect suffering with no exit but the obvious. No escape from the wet, recycled air of that miserable planetoid.
>Despite the legend, the original Pinball was pretty small. Whoever built it used only basic mule/tractor type agrav engines. Still, it was genius. It must have taken that poor bastard months, years maybe. Four agravs come off the line but only three come back, no one the wiser. Frame up all the engines as close to a sphere as you can manage; cage for the “pilot” in the middle, cover the outside in pot metal, get the weight up.
>That first Pinball likely couldn’t carry more than say three minutes fuel, which was fine. After thirty seconds the pilot’s entrails were pasting the tunnel walls, spraying from the gaps in the welds on the spinning death machine. Centrifugal force and screaming and blood.
>After a minute the casualties and structural damage to Gravesend Central Processing were catastrophic. In two minutes and seven seconds, the Pinball wrenched itself and its dead creator into the open void of space. He was finally free, if only for a little while.
>-MB

>>738872434

Literally everything Spacers do is just to fuck with dirt eaters. The question isn't 'why' it's 'why not.'

>>738878721
Yeah but presumably future pinballs are made in homage to the original, as a form of rebellion by making the ultimate wrecking ball

>>
Is garage permadeath? I hate losing all my progress so I've been playing like a bitch.
Also, what's the biggest mech available in the demo right now?
>>
>>738878982
sounds like the tutorial. the "difficult" part of the game is the long freelance runs in smaller vehicles, which takes a while to build up to.
>>
>>738878982
>anymore
Brigador's never really been mech-centric. Only a third of the first game's options are mechs (less if you don't count the powersuits). The other third are hovercraft and the last third are tonks.

Killers is smaller scale though. Lots more focus on infantry scale combat.
>>
>>738878982
There's still mechs but it starts you off at a way lower "level" than the first game, so you mainly deal with civvie vehicles retrofitted for combat.
Also the meat of the first game was freelance where difficulty is determined by the pilot and level pack, I dare you to play through the closed casket special as precursor james and tell me the game is too easy

It's an extraction mode, so you lose everything you brought with you into a level when you die, but the stuff at home is fine. Honestly once you get a ways in you'll probably be dying pretty rarely.

he stands next to the east entrance, you have to kill him at range or with a mech with a high caliber weapon or else he shreds you with its automatic AP gun, the driver dies when the mech is at low health, letting you reclaim it.
to drive it, you have to be in the loyalist rig or use a forklift or a similar vehicle that can carry large crates to transport it out of the combat zone

I believe there were some hidden NEP assets in the ranks of the brigadors. As for MB, it's hard to tell. He has no real loyalties beyond those who give him technical readouts of leg units with thick hip actuators. He even warns the SNC about Aakar Singh being a potential mole in the ranks of the brigadors. So it's hard to tell.
What I think is that after being extracted from Solo Nobre, he ended up being a avid poster on the sync-net. Babbling about anything and everything he can think of, sort of the Novo Solo version of forgotten weapons.

It’s so funny that if you check recent yt comments on anything related to brigador there’s always ppl ranting about this and saying you shouldn’t support their games and then you go to their discord and half the fucking dudes who regularly post are trans or friendly to trans
it’s just a bizarre thing

Pretty sure the dev is pro trans, just some people are fine going blind for a crumb of "justifiable" harassment.

I really hope they rework the merchant. Having each visit to the merchant be followed by fighting your way across a bridge through fuck tons of cops every fucking time is a fucking annoying gimmick. I could see it being fun a couple of times or maybe a sort of random event that can occur in various locations after visiting the merchant but having it happen every single time just gets old fast.

remember that, if you drive into the nos pol ammo depot with a police chopper, the guards will actualy open the doors and let you through without resistance, enabling you to loot the crats and vehicles in the parking loot
also there is a smal chance one of the APC's there is actualy functional, so you can try to save scum for APC's very early

That 25mm cannon, bluetongue, the one with the finished menu model, is pretty nice. Good damage feels punchy and fast reload. Fuckers balanced it though it's one unit heavier than the limit for the Party Van that was my universal loot tank.

I love the cinderblock so much
It's basically a man-sized AC, you zip-skate around taking shots as they line up. It all got so much easier when I turned off screen-absolute movement.

I'm honestly kind of blown away here. This is just a tiny team, and I get that progress is slow and scale is limited, but they're building resources here that could build an entire Fallout/GTA style long-form campaign.

The modding crowd alone could make something really special out of this.
>>
>>738867048
Yeah the difficulties for the missions are wildly inaccurate. Ultimately it feels like difficulty almost exclusively boils down to whether or not enemy vehicles appear in a mission. Part of the issue with that is basically all the current enemy vehicles are of the major "fuck you" variant, especially coffins and APCs. It'll probably help once they add more vehicles in later versions.

>>
>>738900219
Yeah it's pretty funny how Posadochny and Sinkhole are both in the hardest difficulty level, but while one is the hyper death city filled with rocket spam, insta-death snipers and APCs everywhere, and the other is easy as pie unless you roll a bad seed, in which case it's just slightly tricky
>>
>>738900161

not that I've seen but speaking of hidden items I looked at the ground accidentally in the corners of the chopshop mission, like way out on the pier and way up by the foot-only exit and both had some hidden containers that you can loot. This is making me laugh so hard but also RIP

Copper’s best-known work is also his gentlest. Archangel of Seven Seas ... has built eight-meter-long organ pipes singing humpback whale. Copper bought the old organ of the Church of Kotka, twelve huge organ whistles, the largest of which was five and a half meters long. "The whistles were used to collect coins that come from the fear of the lord, and people gave more than coins."

Apparently, when played (using built-in electric motors and blowers), the work produces noises at a pitch and volume that make its surroundings shake.

Many of Copper's works were actively dangerous to the viewer. For example, he built "Juggernaut", which Wired described as:

... an enormous steel ball that weighs as much as two cars. It has a motor, motion sensors, a juicy battery, and the mind of a psycho killer. It hunts you. If you don't jump aside, you'll be trampled under it. And it won't stop until the battery is dead.

Copper says he's not concerned about injuring people. Accidents can happen, but folks know what they're about to face. Juggernaut is stored behind a steel fence in Helsinki, and anybody who wants to play with the killer ball must unleash it first. The message is obvious: this experience might just take your life.

Copper's next project? "Bombs. I want to make bombs."

Copper died last year, but his obsession with destructive sculpture - particularly bombs - appears to be reaching out from the grave. His "Sixpack of Instant Death" was sculpted in 1995. It comprised six pieces, all somewhat deformed phallic shapes, that were designed to be linked together if the owners desired.

Copper divided his work, which was divided into six parts, specifically [among] his friends and colleagues.

"The idea was that when connected together, they would explode," Haapala told Iltalehti.

if it's this guy, it's the sawbuck power suit. he only spawns when you get the corvid version of the chop shop, the cops version has APCs. You can shoot him a bunch until he leaves his armor but be careful because it's still standing after so you can kill it. I was hunting for them with rockets and accidentally blasted a ton of them to pieces.

Yes but also no. Cars feel more weighty, turn with momentum, and mechs can strafe now. Also gone are the day's where a guy on foot can tunnel through a BRICK wall JUST BY running at it, damage is more reliably based on scale. A barricade that would stop a van dead will crumple under a mech or tank.

Overall good improvements, which makes bigger stuff far more important than in original where big mechs besides weapons, more hp and shield, were often just big coffins, since also armor actually means something. A 9mm smg will assfuck unarmored units, but be ignored entirely by apcs
>>

It took me a long time to build my first tank because I just built it from the merchant. I'm on default controls and once I drove it at first I shit myself because it was weird, but then I realized that it has way better control than the cars, you can just go in any direction as opposed to having to turn like GTA2 cars. I like it.

I wonder if we'll get any "indoors" maps? Imagine going full hotline with a mission thats 100 floors of small office space you need to postal your way through. I also desperately want more incognito interactions. The talking to npc' hints at where they might be going with things. Taking a hostage would be wicked. Seems like disguises will have some influence, not sure how much though.

>>738903865
Iirc the coffin in og was more like a roll bar cage holding a person on legs, than a bike, but its similar idea, and since its corvid tech anyway the change is almost irrelevant, know what I'm saying? But yes its whole principle is basically lying prone WHILE mid air making you a hard target, and a little more accurate maybe.

Corvid tech reminds me slightly of russia, like their tanks with the ammo carousel turning into a nuke if hit. Bet corvids would do that
>>
>>738904259
Fuck yeah, I just ran vandenberg again with my weapons of choice and nuked them all with energy+7.62 for infantry. Super fun concept, strap a bunch of shit onto a bike chassis and throw powered legs on it which pilot controls with motorcycle handlebars. Awesome.

Assuming the covids had a little extra gizmos, you could probably make the person shifting on the bike act like a "joystick", and have the break bars and gas throttles for separate shit

Pitch your level ideas to fill out the mission board
For me, I want to see a super early-game scavenge mission (as in, 'you barely have a gun' early) that's built around utilizing those Liberator pistols. You gotta walk onto the level incognito, look for a chest with aforementioned pistols or the bouquet thing, then blast a corvid to steal their slightly less shit gun. It'd be a good way to teach how the stealth system works, and a chance to use those scrappier corvid shootas until you get the real stuff.

>I want to see a super early-game scavenge mission (as in, 'you barely have a gun' early)

NTA but a lot of the Loyalist guns have huge laser tumors stuck to them. It's a running design theme for them.

>1.
A level where you start with no kit, but you can steal a pedestrian car at the start. Call it ram ranch or something.
>2.
The postal tower or some iteration of many floors with limited resources in a confined space as mentioned in posts above.
>3.
You survive a suicide bombing. You were the bomber. Now you have to gun your way out. 1 hp mission.
>>
>>738905074
I'm well aware you might be brigador staff but I don't even care.

One idea is a mission which is restricted and limiting in what you can take, say, a riot, but due to REASONS, going full tilt with militarized gun vans isn't good for goals.

So assassinations, or, here's one, a riot going on where you pose as JUST A RIOTER, with at most a pistol or smg as something you can bring, and try to destroy an apc with moltovs, spare cars, fuel tankers, ect.

Playing with power levels is such an underrated gameplay idea

Also I'd fucking love playing cat and mouse with a torro, or they fucking spacer floating head. Just trying to cross town and avoid cleansing or something.

And a final suggestion is a false flag operation, to spark conflict between people, and must use guns of the enemy to accomplish the Mission.

I imagine you could do something like hitman and have witnesses describe you, so you are effectively incognito normally, but if you are witnessed but don't kill witnesses, it kills your disguise.

I don't even think you'd need holographs, just dress like a corvid, or whoever is rioting, and unless you cross a police line or they REPORT that you killed someone, they don't give a fuck.

Could have incogni restore if you crowd in with other rioter ala assassin's creed.

That would take more code wise, but still.

But more than that I care about restrictive missions, for discretion, maybe challenge, a position being FAR to fortified for an open fight, whatever
>>738906408
Left doesn't have the monopoly on talking about corporate insanity, war, ect.

Also I'd love if we had a device to hack shit, stuff like panic walls are basically automated proximity rfid signals iirc, or something like it, so I figure It wouldn't be TERRIBLY difficult to spoof an ID code, maybe as an item that gives you a single map spoof to lower panic walls like enemies

Little gizmos like that would be fantastic, maybe as ONLY something you can take from an intact enemy vehicle, because destruction auto flags chip as compromised
>>

>>
>>738907230
The depot level has a police wall you need to steal a cruiser to get by, otherwise you have to go around into the back parking lot. I think for character model disguises and getting through security doors etc the holo idea is probably the cheapest to program. Maybe make it where you have to gib someone to make a holo disguise? Could be funny.

Your mission is to steal a prototype vehicle/agrav for a parade, your target is the Presidente, the police chief and all the big staff Brass sitting on the side. You blast them on live tv and gotta leg it on a wide city chase after you trash the stolen prototype vehicle. Of course all of the parade is after you from the infantry, tanks, artillery and mechs
Yeah I know a little inspired two SC2 Odin missions but hey since Brigador universe is very Banana republic inspired a military parade broadcasted on TV is on point.
>>
>>738907726
Make it some Brigador'd version of Your Eternal Reward from TF2. Gotta get a melee kill with it but then you're holomasked as your victim until you attack or loiter too long. Balance it by giving it really limited ammo, like 1-2 stabs and you can't bring ammo in with it.
I doubt the dev wants to factor in figuring out that kind of recognition system for the AI though.

I mean that's kinda the point, what if the entrance was absolutely entrenched with like 40 touro and 5 leviathan, and nowhere to hide??? NOBODY is brute forcing that bro. But a guy disguised as a citizen, concealed weapons??? There's a chance.

Especially if you aren't trying to kill everyone, but just assassinate, steal something, break something, whatever. I love the idea of stealthily outplaying GROSSLY overgunned enemies with a concealed weapon, and maybe some concealed explosives.

You're not wrong. There isn't enough resistance to encourage diverse tactical play in the demo. I feel like I'm always running and gunning or turning a corner so they chase single-file. Heavier armour can be a design issue because there's no guarantee the player is geared enough to deal with them. Better AI would be nice, but that'll take time. Game's got good bones tho, I can't think of another demo I squeezed 15 hours out of.

desu I think the act of building up your garage to have the arsenal you already had in Brigador 1 is going to get boring very quickly unless there's a more fast way to get a vehicle of some kind, almost any kind. Having to play grab-ass with the APCs to get your first real armored car was a slog.

Its definitely slower paced, right up until you start pimping your cars with weapon mounts and grabbing power suits, then most of the missions become milk runs
You can still make small mechs and exosuits like the Mongoose, which absolutely shreds anything in its path
The only downsides is the grindy nature of the game, which means you'll be doing alot of milk runs with panel vans for weapons and parts, and the general clunkyness of the inventory system

With the way loader type vehicles are designed, it makes me think it's semi-intentional. It's way too early for it to also not be placeholder so here's hoping.

Dealership is pretty good, lots of cars, and blowing them up drops parts. And outside 1 sniper the cops ain't shit

Mod a van into loader or upgunned, it lets you store large crates with 500 capacity, which lets you carry shit like apc hulls , big tires, and engines.

>>738914887
Like I said, very intentional. I could see bigger mecha carrying shipping containers, which carries a van, which carries 2 crates, and I could see all of that being necessary for some missions. Honestly kinda reminds me of a russian nesting doll, since you can have a mech carrying a van (probably) and a van carrying a mongoose.

Btw, that weird fucking melee range 3 shot laser pistol, is it practically useful for anything??? I'm kinda scared to try because at that close either it works or you die.

>>738917412
Yes, and you can put a small, AND large crate inside to expand the total van capacity from 300 to 900. Just make it a loader van with the fabrication square first.

Alternatively, you can craft a backpack which holds 50 lbs

Honestly it's kind of a good change. The fact you're on foot kind of puts a lot of elements from the lore into perspective. For example coffins from a lore perspective are somewhat terrifying, carrying out nasty ambushes on foot patrols and civilians before speeding off. In the original Brigadors they barely even register as a threat, basically only existing to be splattered under your feet/treads. In Killers when a Coffin shows up it's generally a massive OH FUCK moment because they usually come sprinting at you from out of fucking nowhere with machine guns blazing
>>
Are there any vehicles that can mount weapons like the köing? The biggest mount I've found so far is the rounder but it still doesn't have enough capacity to use it, and I don't see what would have a bigger weapon mount
>>
>>738918024
Nope, large crate is for back door, small crate is side door. I don't think side door even fits a mid crate.

>>738918191
I agree, fucking power suits are nasty.. also gives perspective how 8mm machine gun felt basically like a spree shooters smg compared to every else, but 8mm is actually basically endgame tier for the demo if you can get a limitless supply of it, or dual weild them accurately. And absolutely blow out an ACTUAL spree shooter smg firing shitty 9mm

Which is crazy to think, that the WEAKEST dog shit on old game is the STRONGEST dakka in the demo... like imagine trying to sneak through a nasty base, finding a touro, and now everything is junk under your feet. Sounds REALLY fucking fun.

Just be warned, dumper is fucking slow and has no guns. Its STRICTLY a pack mule.

>>738918636
I'm guessing alarms like 1 aren't even in this, I occasionally see guys run off to tell though. Maybe alarms are only in SOME later missions. Makes sense since an alarm on foot is death
>>
>>738918808
Thanks, got one. It can mount a mongoose so you can bring it for combat missions, but it only has one large mount slot and the mongoose takes it up so I don't think it's total capacity can actually match the loader van+mongoose or the party van because those can bring a 5000 unit merchant crate.
>>
>>738918557
Why would 8mm be better than 9mm
>>
>>738918191
I like that the game also zooms out depending on the potential for carnage that a vehicle has. The rounder zooms out to brigador 1 levels because with the right weapons it can probably cause brigador 1 levels of property damage
>>
>>738918557
I'm not sure if it's within the scope of what they're planning, but it would be really cool if you could partially repair vehicles, but vehicles that aren't at high health break down constantly and need field maintenance to get them running again. So you can find a battered heavily damaged touro and it's a massive boost in power, but it goes down every 20 seconds and you need to fiddle with it to get it running again, and then you slowly repair it bit by bit throughout your campaign.
You could even showcase the reliability of different vehicles by how high their health needs to be before they start suffering breakdowns, really sturdy reliable stuff only starts breaking down below 20% health but something like the OvO starts shitting itself below 95% health
>>
>>738919296
Because he's talking about a 8mm (7.92x57mm) full power rifle cartridge compared to 9mm (9x19mm) pistol cartridge. Rifle cartridges have way more propellant since the casings are bigger, so the bullet goes way faster to deal with armour better, and has better range.

I think the largest mount in the demo is on one of the sprat van variants. It's kind of a meme though.

Ehhh, storage is weird. Crates are just mounted to an appropriate slot. But in terms of storing loot, dump is 700 plus 500 for large crate. So marginally better, and much better if you want to pack a mog.

Weight of a CRATE type item is irrelevant, its does it fit or not.
>>738919296
Lmao I knew someone would say this. Basically 9mm is a single measure, which is bullet width, and then there length, and charge . 9mm or 9x19 is basically a fucking spit wad, good for people, not vehicle. 8mm is 8x57, and a longer bullet. So basically 5x the power and heavier bullet, much better at piercing.

Basically remember that 556, the m16 round, is literally a 22 bullet, but longer, and much, MUCH more power, so it's devastating compared to a 22lr

>>738919940
Yes, and its fucking amazing shit.

On a loader van you can pack a mog and a 5000 storage crate.
>>
>>738920504
What the hell crate holds 5k??? I pulled large crates off missions. Are you seriously saying there's a 5k storage crate that fits INSIDE a van?? I've been sleeping on merchant if so, how much is it?? I wish I could sell guns, even for scraps.
>>
>>738920693
If you buy a gear set or kit from the merchant, it comes in this big 5000 capacity crate to hold all that shit. You can shove it in your van and keep it.
It's unlikely to stay for the final release, since it's obviously just a workaround for the player to be able to carry certain things out of the level. But for now, if you buy, say, a Mongoose kit, you get a free fuckhuge box that basically holds everything
>>
>>738920693
You can only get them from the merchant and I think everything he sells in a crate comes in a 5k capacity one. The mongoose kit is the cheapest option for 8k

wtf is that reticule? is it telling me I can miss because my bullets spray in all dimensions, even thought it's a isometric game? can you even choose to aim upwards?
>>
>>738923898
Yes, your shots have a cone of accuracy despite it being isometric. Verticality does actually matter, there's a lot of chest high terrain in some maps and the vertical spread can cause your shots to either hit it or go over it.
>>
>>738923898
Typically the guns align to whatever you're aiming at, so if you're aiming at your feet they'll point downwards and if you aim at something in the distance they'll aim higher. You can also press capslock to make them shoot straight ahead regardless of what you're aiming at. But that van in particular has rigid mounts so aiming it would already be a bitch even if the van didn't handle like ass
>>
>>738923898
>is it telling me I can miss because my bullets spray in all dimensions, even thought it's a isometric game?
yes, on most weapons that bloom will narrow down and if you want consistent hits you do short bursts
this is not one of those weapons, though short bursts are still recommended for obvious reasons

>sturdy reliable stuff only starts breaking down below 20% health but something like the OvO starts shitting itself below 95% health
So something like S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s durability and jamming thresholds on a per-gun basis? That could be pretty interesting. You could have corvid stuff not need much to keep running, since it's borderline salvage, but can also break down more often than professionally made tech that needs more resources to maintain

If your cursor is within a certain range of a target it'll snap to their center of mass, but you can manually aim behind them to target the ground level and try to manipulate the projected trajectory lines into them, it's fairly intuitive when you start doing it. The bad accuracy is really mostly a thing for guns that you obviously won't be shooting very far with like SMGs and shotguns, or guns that are mounted on things clearly not intended to use them like the above example of a heavy mech-scaled machine gun in a hollowed out hippie van.
>>
>>738924764
Yeah but the ideal would be you aim at the center of mass. And the game has lockon (that you can disable, but I wouldn't recommend it) that makes it easier to target the center of enemies

Be kind of neat if they worked on the AI so enemies in different vehicles attack differently. For example have coffins utilize a hit and run tactic, running by to strafe you with machine gun fire before dashing off and then circling back for another attack
>>
>>738923407
Fab is nice, backpack is very helpful as either emergency storage, or stowing more shit for nasty missions. Accessing items kinda sucks because you need to put it down, open it, take stuff, then wear it again. But 50 more capacity on your back is huge.

Also since vehicles are made of parts, you aren't actually LIMITED to 5 vehicles, just 5 SAVED vehicles. If you get enough gear you could make like 20 vans if you want
>>738923726

>>738924354
It barely is a factor in the demo, since at most you worry about shooting over cover or gl over small buildings.

Og height of fire was a big issue for tall vehicles, they could fire over tall cover while small couldn't, and it Also meant aiming on ground units were harder. Basically the reticule always tries to "land" shots on the ground, so low units had slight advantage that spamming shots would never go over people's heads

As for flying units, in og they were basically always hit if you aimed under them. A minor concession.
>>738924496 its also an IMMENSE high caliber minigun. Anything small will die instantly from 1 round, anything bigger is easier to hit.

>>738924589
I can't help but think of Ukraine war tractor memes. Also that only works because their machine guns are 22, not a bigger caliber. Honestly shocked those guns can kill an apc, I feel like they should be ENTIRELY immune to 22.
>>
>>738925018
>Bug?? I could repair IF I had a spare leg, but I don't. Same with repairing apcs.
Oh, yeah if you don't have the parts then obviously it won't let you repair, but sometimes even if you do have them it'll show the prompt saying you don't have the parts and if that happens then you have to scrap and rebuild.
>>
>>738924734
I wonder how different it'd be under Great Leader's rule. I'd imagine the SNC would probably just have you sacked and you'd have a hard time finding another job. Great Leader on the other hand would probably have you and the other peacekeepers in charge of that weapon cache executed by a Mog firing squad in a hail of lead from bonesaw machine guns and then say you and all those other brave souls perished in a vicious raid carried out by Corvid scum
>>
>>738925018
>you aren't actually LIMITED to 5 vehicles, just 5 SAVED vehicles
Also if you disassemble a vehicle you get back 100% of the parts it takes to build one, minus the parts you'd need to repair it if it's damaged. So you can save vehicle storage space by disassembling vehicles you don't use often and reassembling them when you need them. I've got my rounder and fork "stored" that way.

From what I know, larger mechs can be operated by a single pilot IF they have a cranial/neural jack installed to interface directly with machines.
