There's game devs I'm a fan of that have released 1 game in the time it takes Fromsoft to make 3 + DLCs. But it's obvious that they have to pivot to something new at some point, they can't make similar games forever. So I guess their downfall could happen by pivoting too late, or the pivot being unsuccessful.
