>devs put in a gimmicky 4th wall breaking puzzle randomly that take the game from a 9/10 to a 6.5/10.
Just tell me right now if there are similar puzzles in this game or the sequel so I can stop bothering with the series. I finally tried this game as it has been on my backlog for a decade and the 3rd game has been announced. Decided to come back and clear a star puzzle I didn't get earlier and got stuck on this retarded shit. I have a QR code reader (already a retarded gimmick) and I understood the reference was to the moon landing but never in my wildest dreams did I actually expect the devs to make the answer to the puzzle the arbitrary time that a real life event happened. Stupid dogshit. Stop putting 4th wall retard shit in your puzzle games you dipshit devs. Was having an awesome time otherwise. Too bad.

game is set in the real world so why the hell not, it's not 4th wall breaking

What a braindead opinion

I don't remember the second game having stuff like that, and I played it recently even if it wasn't a 100% playthrough.

That was the only star in the game I couldn't get. It turns out the hint is in a QR code, and since I was just a poor motherfucker back then, I didn't have a smartphone to scan it with, and when I tried to take a screenshot of the screen and upload the QR code to a website, it gave me an error.
After hours and hours, I gave up, and when I saw the solution I was kind of disappointed because it is kinda shit

>gimmicky 4th wall breaking puzzle
you must be retarded if you think 4th wall breaks in Talos Principle of all games are "gimmicky", cause THE ENTIRE GAME is a 4th wall breaking forcused narrative, there isn't a single aspect of these games that is not 4th wall breaking in some shaper or form
>>
>>738882059
the stars in the second game are all garbage non-puzzles except for the connect a laser across the map ones
>>
talos principle is bad because it's just 3d sokoban, and all sokoban is bad
>>
>>738883049
bad faith argument from a retard. The puzzle is bad because it's the only star in the game to require outside knowledge of the game to finish the puzzle. Nobody gives a shit about the lore/story breaking the 4th wall. That's a completely separate thing. The rest of the puzzles are self contained.

Even with the qr hint it's stupid. All of the stars in the game are solved with in game puzzle solving logic but now this one wants you to go google the time the moon landing occured at.
