Remember when Grindhouse was a trend during 7th Gen?
>>738881039I didn't know it was a trend, but what I do know is that House of the Dead Overkill was a sick game with an even better soundtrack, and surprisingly good storyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHHmqYrRvW8
>>738881229There were a few games back in the late 2000s/early 2010s that went for the whole "Exploitation movie" vibe.
>>738881039Still the funniest game I've ever played
>>738881440Somebody mentioned WET? This one, IMO, was the peak of the Grindhouse subgenre to me, as I have clocked only 85 hours in it, beating it twenty-two times, on my twenty-third because I love the game so damn much. The canned sequel looked even better, probably would've played that twice as much.
>>738882149So much swearing. Too bad I never finished because I got frustrated at the female "The Ring"-like Siren boss.
>>738886268Play Typing of the Dead and you will KWAB that boss.
>>738881229>>738881039>>738886268How was this game even allowed on the wii?
>>738886337RE4 Wii is just as graphic. I don't get your point dog.
>>738881229>surprisingly good storyLet's not go crazy here
>>738886319There's a Typing of the Dead version for Overkill? I think the only Typing of the Dead I know is the one for HotD 2 on Dreamcast.God, what a good series of games. I still haven't played Scarlet Dawn though, I don't I've ever seen any of my local arcades carry that machine.
>>738886404For House of the Dead and even rail shooter standards, I think it's top of the heap.
>>738886398Does RE4 end with the villain crawling into his giant monster mother's vagina?
>>738886450https://store.steampowered.com/app/246580/The_Typing_of_The_Dead_Overkill/Was just on a sale. It comes with vanilla House of the Dead Overkill and there's enough differences that they're both worth playing.
Dogs of /v/.....time they made a move.
>>738886464Uuuuuuuuh well I'll just say that SEGA probably got a lot more leeway. If this were some joe shmoe publisher, Nintendo might not have approved it.
>>738881039I liked the House of the Dead arcade game they had, in both Judgment and Lost Judgment.
>>738881229There wasn't a trend.
The prison warden is probably one of the funniest vidya bad guys ever desu
>>738887735My friend hyped this guy up, and I'll admit, he was right.
Which House of the Dead is your favourite?Which House of the Dead do you think is the easiest?
>>738881039It was alright, though the framerate becomes a slideshow during the final level due to the large amount of zombies thrown your way, makes it more likely to miss a shot and ruin your kill streak. Not being able to 100% the game unless you had a second Wii remote was pretty gay though(some of the collectables are locked behind "duel wield" mode).
>>738888765I will always love 2 the most. Overkill is probably the easiest.
>>738886319>>738886520Good game, I was shocked when I turned it on cause I was expected a generic zombie light gun game. Will definitely S-rank all the stages on Agent mode.
>>7388922812 is by far the most memorable due to the voice lines. But for some reason I have a soft spot for 3 despite it being the supposed "black sheep" of the series. I like the shotgun and how it handles, I like the female protag, I like the length of the game, with it being slightly shorter than 2 but longer than 1. My only complaints are, yes, the bosses are a lot more annoying than the other HotD games, and I think the music is not as great. Less memorable. But still overall a phenomenal light gun shooter.
>>738890972This, but also throughout the whole game. I liked Overkill and think it's still a good game, but man I'm so used to HotD games being 60 FPS, that even playing on 30 FPS feels wrong. Feels off.
