i don't know what is it that i hate the most about that scene:
>The overly verbose dialog for what's essentially "dad, stop controlling my life"
>the fact that her idea of freedom doesn't involve getting a job and becoming independent
>that she is giving her father the message that he is such a screw up dad that her daughter might have turned arsonist
>that the scene fits so well with the modern way of thinking that is "give me what I want or I'll hurt people"

i'll give them this, it is pretty fucking accurate for a "coming of age story" in the current year
