Finna play some GameCube games natively through backwards compatibility. But which?
>>
If you were a real nintendo fan you wouldn't pirate their games.

I've been wanting to play custom robo for over 20 years now.
That shit looked so cool when I was a kid.

I played the one on DS a ton in 2009 I think. Had a friend who got obsessed with it too. I remember a lot of rage-resetting every time the tiniest thing went wrong in a fight, because the game kinda punishes you, if you don't win every fight in the campaign.
Japanese N64 NSO on Switch also has Custom Robo 64. You can play any Japan-exclusive stuff because the app is free with a JP account, but if you log in with your normal user's NSO sub, it just lets you play the japanese version.

Repeat after me, officer: Piracy of things that aren't sold retail anymore is okay. The publishers don't need more of my money.

>have wii u
>hack it to play GC and the HD Zelda games
>don't touch it for a while
>get the urge to replay one of the HD Zelda games one day, go to turn it on
>it doesn't fucking work
>apparently it can burn itself out if you leave it idling for too long
Still fucking mad over it

look at this cuck caring whether it's """""""ok""""""" or not
>>
I wish Wii Us weren't so annoying to set up
>Have to mod twice; once for the Wii U system and once for the Wii VC
>Have to use two separate HDDs
>The "recommended" custom firmware to use seems to change every year or two

OP here. I bought all of these games as discs from collectors and dumped them by hand to my WiiU. It cost me $600 for the 15 apps you see in this image alone, but it's all worth it for a clear conscious. If you continue to libel me I will be forced to contact my lawyer.

Bloody Roar. So good. Wish the series wasn't permanently dead because it's owned by Konami. Deserves a collection.
>>

Hmmm. My Wii U was put in the attic and caught a lot of dank for several years, and bringing it back it also wouldn't initially turn on, so I assumed it was dead.
Then I tried again later at some point and it's worked ever since.

I'm tempted to buy a better battery for the Gamepad, because holy shit the battery life sucks. It's like 2 hours if I'm lucky.

You don't need 2 HDDs seperately. You just have 1 HDD, and you inject whatever GC/Wii game into installer files on the SD card that's in your Wii U (or internal memory if you have enough) and then install that to the HDD.

All my Wii U, Wii and GC games are one 1 drive and it works just fine.

I also got Baten Kaitos and XIII. Seem like special games. And the weird fucking capcom "P.N.03" thing
>>
>>738892325
Last time I looked into injecting, it had some compatibility and controller issues
Has that improved?
>>
>>738891224
Geist or Killer 7. What's that between crash and battalion wars?
>>
>>738891412
Wrong, retard. Remember the NES and SNES mini being easily hackable? It's because Iwata wanted you to fill them with your favorite roms because they would not be able to put every game in there because of licensing fees and problems.
>>
I wish you could install more games to the wii u homescreen. The fact it has a limit at all baffles me
>>
>>738891412
Fuck off tendie
>>
>>738892119
I guess I should have unplugged it or something, idk
>>
>>738892470
I don't know when you did that, but the only game I've experienced debilitating issues with so far was Monster Hunter Tri. It could be my HDD being too slow, but it froze, and it seems to do it a lot. Also Teen Titans but that game sucks.
But I've played a bunch of other games for quite a while. Controller issues are none as long as it's a GC title. It automatically maps the Wii U Gamepad to the tablet using the injector I use. You don't even have to enable that in a tickbox. And for Wii games you can mostly get away with clicking "use as Classic Controller." I think it was also Animal Crossing City Folk which has a controller patch, so with that and Enable Classic Controller I now have that as a fully functioning controller-only game, but when I want to I can just use Wiimote and Nunchuck all the same. A lot of Wii games are like this, if you use the injector.

Fucking idiot. I have a Switch with 200 games on it. BOUGHTED games, mind you. And my yearly NSO sub just ran out after 3 full years of supporting it.
Nothing wrong with Nintendo's service. It's great.
But there's this thing called "Age Verification" coming to PlayStation, and then Switch 2 eventually, and I'm not supporting that. So I'm hoarding my retrostations.

I imagine many are doing this, so if it seems like a lot are pirating in 2026, maybe it's because people don't want to comply to the government deciding/controlling/monitoring us when we play what we buy, or purchasing "licenses" that expire whenever the publisher changes their mind or go bankrupt. It's a net negative for consumers, so they're tapping out en masse IMO.
