Realism vs. art direction

>>738891924>>738894161>>738894201I know it's you OP, we're the only 2 people in this thread
Stylization is always superior to realism, one requires skill, artistry and discernment and the other is such low effort garbage that studios can outsource it to unskilled bottom of the barrel third world studios. You cannot disagree with this opinion because it's factually correct. As the average skill of a dev has dropped, realism has risen.Realism is for the retarded, unskilled and the lazy.
Realism is art direction, just very boring and uninspired art direction.

>>738891924I like art direction with some occasional realism to see how far tech has come
>>738891924All I'm saying is simple cinematography goes a long way
>>738891924>Realism vs. art directionUnless based on a true story, I prefer art direction, as it can elevate movies if done right and why I love Mario Bava's work.....https://youtu.be/ajKWZU9oh1o?si=fbdrljpoiTlOzFN_ https://youtu.be/71KWoGIWLOM?si=9d-W69gqSwPIecplIt also reminds me that the 1960's is my favorite era of cinematography with its use of saturated colors and high contrast like you see in TV shows such as Batman and Star Trek!!!FACT!!!
