Because blizzard is owned by Activision and Activision is owned by Microsoft and Microsoft is a trillion dollar company which owns the OS to a vast majority of computers in the world.
WoW is a valuable IP and all it takes is one higher up to make a few phone calls and they can make shit happen.
It baffled me that retards were all, "Oh dude its in Russia its fine" as if Russia's entire infrastructure doesn't run on Microsoft products. Get a grip.
