They are still biological organisms, their bodies are absolutely not capable of surviving a direct hit from an RPG. It's completely fine within the games because they're video games and there's a layer of abstraction when it comes to combat, but since the show is trying to be (relatively) realistic, that is what should have happened. That said, it is an absolutely lame portrayal. They show off the big terrifying monster that people get eviscerated by, but pull a Fallout 4 and only show it to the audience in a situation where it can be killed easily with almost no danger to the character whatsoever. It would have been way cooler to use as a horror section where they're sleeping outside at night and 1-2 creep up on them, and it takes a lot to kill it with normal-sized firearms just because they're so insanely fast. Nobody should be coming out unscathed from an encounter with multiple deathclaws. This guy is not a late-game character.Going with the F4 design is also fucking gay, it's so shit compared to the F3/NV design of these horrible, lanky monsters with sinewy muscles, agile bodies and claws over 2 feet long. They're also too small and agonizingly slow, but that's F4 and F4 is the model for Fallout going forward (assuming the show doesn't take over that role).
