It leaves you feeling like the entire game was a waste of time.

And I personally couldn't muster up anything but indifference for anything that had been set up since BBS. I played some, not everything but it's all just a downgrade from 2.And then 3 comes along and it really does try its best to recapture that feeling from 1 and 2 but the worlds are mediocre at best and one in particular is the worst in the entire series. The combat is mindless where it doesn't really matter what you're doing, as long as you're doing anything you're winning. You're constantly being interrupted with minigames and nonsense. But the worst thing to me was that it was trying to set up even more bullshit for a sequel while trying to wrap up a decades worth of shit that, frankly, I just don't care about anymore. Maybe someone got something out of this game but I just hate everything about it except that one song, don't think twice.

By KH2 a lot of that mystique wears off because now there's a whole ass plot about heartless and nobodies and if you skipped recom you don't understand what's going on. by kh3 it jumps the shark mostly because there's no longer any ff characters and Disney doesn't want Sora in their works so its not like you're exploring nww worlds anymore or looking for your friends you kind of just go world to world to "finish" the unrelated plot
