Star Fox SNES is good, Star Fox 64 is great, Star Fox since has just been retreads of 64
Super Metroid is good, Fusion/ZM/Dread are decent, Metroid Prime is shit when you go back and play it
No one gives a shit about F-Zero

So no, they didn't really get it right

Aesthetically X's comic book artstyle and heavy metal soundtrack is better than GX's sterile renders and EDM, but the gameplay and content is better in GX
