>An OoT remake was apparently going to release holiday 2026 as a special bundle according to the Nintendo internal leaked files >Nintendo has confirmed the file leak was legitimate >Massive cat out of the bag moment >A new 3D Mario game was/is planned for 2027. I wonder what the artstyle/visuals will look like? I doubt it'll be BoTW slop. I wonder if Nintendo will still release it anyway now that everyone knows? Or will they push it back? If anything, it seems pointless to delay it. Holiday season is the best time to push it/sell it.
Why are OoTsnoys incapable of making threads without incoherent seething over BoTW?
>>738904752>I wonder if Nintendo will still release it anyway now that everyone knows? Are you retarded? One of the companies with the most orthodox management in all of Japan and you think they're just gonna drop their plans for the FY because, what, a slight marketing hiccup?
>>738904835I wasn't aware OoT fans hated BoTW? Coincidence, I guess? I personally thought BoTW was boring and overhyped, but I just look at it as not being "my cup of tea" like I enjoy adventure/action/RPG stuff, but the way BoTW played...I just didn't really care for it. I didn't like the mechanics and overall combat.
>>738904752>"BoTW slop"Oh fuck off, snoy.
>>738904851>a slight marketing hiccup? It's a little worse than that, dumbass. They're going full nuclear meltdown right now. This was a worst-case scenario for them.
>>738904752I don't know but I love you OP>>738904835Fuck you you stupid retarded bitch
>>738904835Wonder if you'll ever realize you're single handedly responsible for most of the animosity BotW receives
>>738904752If monolith was working on it it could be done already, could release it earlier like they did for Xenoblade 3 and just do a bundle as the holiday thing
>>738904928>people are spreading rumours we are going to release product>this is the worst thing to ever happenHow retarded are you people?
>>738905118>You don't get it, guys! Nintendo is playing 5D chess! They purposely leaked it and claimed it was an internal issue and are now pretending to panic. Yes, we know the playbook, Larry. It doesn't mean we can't act shocked about it.
>>738904752It will look like the comfy pre-rendered backgrounds but for real now, but with the same stylized characters you see in the art. (wishful thinking)
>>738904835>Ootsnoysbotw sold 4x the amount of the next best selling Zelda game. The majority of people who bought it were new players and not real Zelda fans.
Nothing in the OoT remake will have this aura
>>738908280Assassin's Creed Valhalla also sold that many copies compared to Ocarina of Time. Am I supposed to think that makes it a better game too?
>>738905160>the only two options are 'this is the worst thing to ever happen' and 'it was an inside job'or it didn't fit the plan but isn't such a big deal in the scheme of things
>>738904835BotW ruined the series and OoT is the true embodiment of Zelda
Nintendo seem to be obsessed with accurately portraying their original concept art which is what horrified zoomers with the DK and Fox "redesigns". I'm sure OoT Remake would at least look amazing. My worry is with sound and level design, the N64 are very unique in their atmosphere, there's something almost ominous about the minimalist environments and use of subtle ambience and light that hasn't been able to be captured since. I think a lot of this was caused by the hardware constraints, new devs have no restraint.Look at something like E33 which is optical and audio vomit, zero restraint or taste. Even BotW/TotK get a bit too noisy, no environment ever feels intimate to the player
>>738908564This.OoT is the magnum opus after building something up from nothing since the NES game. Every subsequent followup was a homage to what a magnum opus it was, and trying forever to make a game just as good. BotW word of mouth was that they've once again "evolved" the series, but they actually just abandoned its roots, by superficially mimicking something Zelda-esque, but the stuff that made it click is missing.Unlike Zelda 1, there's only a sense of discovery but no sense of uncovering. You discover things that look and feel amazing from afar and your trek to get there. But you're never stumped saying "I wanna go there, but how do I go there?". You know you can go there, because the game lets you fucking do anything you want. It's not a puzzle to be solved unlike Hyrule was in the first game. There's nothing to come across you have to remember, and then connect the dots a while later when you've found what it's for. Instead BotW is high on creativity, it gives you basically a Zelda 100% items toolbox from hour zero and says "zoom zoom!" and you zoom-zoom for 100 hours and go "I really enjoyed that. So much fun!"But that's not the Zelda essence.
