I don't remember having a single hard time the first time I played through GTA V.When I replayed GTA IV and San Andreas some time after I still had difficulties getting through certain points in those games, including the infamous ones like Three Leaf Clover, The Damn train, etc, so I know it's specifically a GTA V thing. However now that I think of it I don't recall RDR2 having any difficult segments besides autofailing for stepping off a scripted path. Will GTA 6 be super easy the whole way through again?Could GTA work with a dedicated hard mode?
>>738906201Gta was never about difficulty. It's about story, freedom and fun.
>>738906201>The Damn trainThe train is very easy. Just maintain a decent horizontal distance so Smoke can better aim at the guys on top.
>>738906201The older games aren't difficult, just tedious. It took me 4 tries to get through 3 leaf clover recently, first time it failed because "I abandoned the group" because they ran ahead during the escape while I stayed and kept fighting cops. The second time I got absolutly wrecked by a single SWAT officer that caught me off guard around a corner in the subway and completely drained my health before I could react. The third time I died was in the subway tunnels, I was in the tunnel and facing back to shoot at police that were following us, once they were dead I could hear a train approaching, I turn the camera 90 degrees and got obliterated by the train. Each attempt took about 10 minutes to retry, and I was losing my shit, good lord.
>>738906201GTA's difficulty is very bullshit. It's specifically related to either poorly designed vehicle controls or timed missions. It's never because there were too many enemies, especially after GTA IV added cover mechanics. The cover mechanic means you can kill enemies and they can't kill you, especially if you have auto aim on. It's the third person shooter equivalent of the soul slop rolling mechanic. A true gamer does use cover or auto aim..
>>738906201>will the moviesloppa be a game?No lol, what are you, some gamer incel? HEY GUYS THIS FUKKEN NERD HERE WANTS TO PLAY VIDEO GAMES! WHAT A LOSER!! LMAOOO
After getting used to modern GTAV-style aiming and weapon use I just can't go back to the old ones.I tried to play GTAIII just for nostalgia a bit and the aiming in that game is such janky ass that I can't believe anyone was okay with it at the time. Abysmal.I remember it being "better" in IV but also ass.
Gta has weird aiming. I like with Red Dead you can just snap to everything
I dont mind the missions being too easy in gta, the difficulty when rampaging in free roam is what's important. 5's difficulty is way too fucking overtuned to the point where rampaging is not even fun. The previous games got it right.
>>738906602Worst aiming ever was The Last of Us Part 1 (the demake). Since it's trying to be realistic, the bullet fires wherever Joel is aiming, not the player. I swear to god if GTA VI tries to do this, it's over. Every AAA open world slop wants to be The Last of Us.
>>738906201GTAV isn't hard almost solely because it has checkpoints, likewise, earlier GTA games were only hard because they lacked checkpoints
>>738906774the way it's worked in every R* game since GTA 4 is the character will always point the gun where the player is trying to aim. if they can't for whatever reason (too close to a wall, for example), the character just won't fire and the reticle will grey out.
>>738906994RDR 2 added weapon sway and you miss more often when getting shot. If you don't use auto aim, it feels clunky. I have a gut feeling the jeets at Rockstar will double down. The majority of Rockstar's animators are Indian.
>>738906201Blame Red Dead 1 for starting the design where it allowed you to skip entire mission sections if you failed too much
>>738907191they were trying to mitigate the laser beam "click on the head" firefights people had been complaining GTA was like. they also wanted to make it feel more like a western film where accuracy tends to be pretty poor. it strongly incentivises shooting first, and not charging into gunfights with dozens of enemies without a plan.
Casual responses. III trilogy all have challenging moments where you can get blasted if you aren’t paying attention. Most people used cheats though, usually perfect handling, armor, and weapons for the RPG. IV is way easier. V is baby mode.Online is challenging in Heists and Doomsday Heist and I guess the Casino Heist because it requires patience and browns don’t have that.
>>738906201If its pc gta 4 its cause its a buggy pos and you might be lacking patches or wrong hardware. The last mission was impossible to beat if you had fps higher than 30. That part where you qte onto the helicopter was bugged.
>>738907545Pretty sure that's patched out in the version that exists now.I was able to beat GTA 4 at 60FPS on my laptop the other year.
>>738906201How do you have trouble with GTAIV? Car chases are just follow the car at a relaxed pace till the scripted endpoint is reached and then you get the laziest of cover shooters.
