It really threw a lot of people for a loop, especially if you dual wielded them and you'd do a combo like R1 R1 R1 Soul Greatsword R1 R1 R1

>>738915405In master mode the strat is to primarily use magic, and use bows to deliver poisons from power leveling alchemy. Frostcrag spire is just the best btw. Also, if you need funds to build your character out, and dont want to exploit or dupe, go to grateful pass stables, collect all the grapes, then visit places like odiil farm for a bunch of free vegetables and spam out fatigue potions, you can level your alchemy and make a good chunk of change while you do it. Drink some cheap wines, and talk to aurelinwae with your weapon drawn to lower her disposition as much as possible, then max it out with the mini game, then you can do maximum bartering with her to get better prices on your potions. Shes the best merchant for selling all magical items btw. You can also join the mages guild and visit all the mages guild locations in the various cities, pillaging all their alchemy equipment and selling it to her for a decent chunk of change to get your starting upgrades for frostcrag.
