how did he bvckbreak the skyrim players so hard with just one phrase?
he didn't, it's a forced reddit meme
>>738917901much like the "arrow in the knee", repetition from a limited pool of recycled dialogue
I'm always happy to see my favourite Viking villager, Bucc Zestií.
>>738917901Because there's a subset of reddit-minded gamers that are extremely sensitive about their power fantasy getting disrupted. Every character has to suck my dick 24/7 or they're a big mean doodoo head and I'm going to hate them forever and ever! >:( These plebs don't realize the best revenge is being on a first name basis with Jarl Ballin' within an hour of gameplay while the uppity redder sits in his cuck corner and pretends to be relevant because he owns a farm. The example that sticks out most for me is seeing Teagan from Dragon Age go from one of the most popular NPCs in Origins to being hated by Cisquisition players because he dares to point out that relying on an NGO with absolutely zero oversight camping in his brother's backyard with diplomatic immunity is not going to make Fereldan any safer. And the Inquisition is already infiltrated with enemy spies by the time he says this, so he's 100% right. But he didn't kiss my ass so he has to pay! I'm the omniscient protagonist and I want the entire world to obey me. >:(
Gamers are such powertripping narcissists they will kill a guy on their "good guy" run just because he mildly insulted them
>>738917901This guy doesn't even own a house, he sleeps upstairs in the drunken huntsman like some bum. Typical redguard behavior.
No idea. Maven Black Briar is a much more detestable writer's pet.

>>738917901The thing that makes the line infuriating is Bethesda expecting me to believe a 200 square foot village with 8 houses has “districts”.
>>738920334>the best revenge isthe best revenge is not even knowing this npc's name because that is how insignificant he is.
>>738920983It's more amazing that the only difference in Skyrim between a village and a town is a wall.
>>738917901>enter Whiterun for the first time with 0 gold on me wearing rags + old stolen imperial armour >Nazeem calls me a poorfag >Do the main quest, become best buds with the Jarl, save Skyrim and become fabulously wealthy >Nazeem still calls me a poorfag Was it really that hard to add a single line of dialogue when you become rich?
>>738921232bethesda is a small indie company, please understand! the best they can do for npcs is cardboard cutouts that shout their thoughts at you, completely unprompted, when you walk within 10 feet of them.
Mass hysteria caused by hype for a new game and jittery kids/manchildren desperately looking for something funny and relatable to bond over

You know, one thing I very much prefer Fallout 4 over Skyrim is that at at least Fallout 4 has bigger pool of voice actors and each unique npc at least has a unique voice. Meanwhile for skyrim I swear it's voiced by the same 5 people or so, making the world feel incredibly small. Each race has like 1 voice except humans how have at least 2 alternating voices.
>>738921232Funny thing is, even Oblivion had a handful of dialogue checks that took your total gold +the worth of your equipment into account. For example, the classic copy-pasted Khajit "Your money or your life" highwaymen will actually let you go if you (somehow) have less than I think 150(ish?) gold in value in your pockets and gear and claim to be broke, but since you have more than that just leaving the tutorial, virtually no one ever sees it naturally.
