What went wrong? How did we come from a great game like Total Annihilation, with true micro, true macro, true tactics and true strategy, to something like Starcraft, with artificial micro, artificial macro, no tactics and no strategy? Total Annihilation players play an RTS, where every battle plays different. Starcraft players play rock paper scissors, where they hope their build order beats the opponent's build order, and the game is decided before they can even scout each other.
