Peekaboo isn't a solved game because it doesn't involve strategy. The whole point is to teach a baby object permanence in a fun, low stakes way. It evolves into hide and seek, which is far from solved since it's entirely dependent on who is hiding where in what place. You can also add tagging into the mix, which makes it more difficult because once you spot someone, you have to eliminate them. The comic is saying that there's nowhere to go from peekaboo but that's just an absurd claim. Without understanding how to find hidden things we wouldn't be able to do hobbies like metal detecting or geocaching, both of which have their root in early stage development.

I guess blackjack is also "solved". there is an optimal way to play blackjack where you lose less money than other methods. Chess isn't a solved game, but the end game states are all solved due to chess engines. There's a certain point in every chess game where a chess engine can force mate. I don't know about the autism ITT, but Dark Souls is a well known solved video game. People can consistently do level 1 runs of it without glitches. With so many cheese strats (and are they cheese if the devs added them?) the only way to fully enjoy it is entirely blind without any research prior.
