The original VN was a parody of JRPGs that somehow ended up being one of the best to use the format. Likewise, Paradox is a parody of multiverse stories and franchise reboots (which would've been perfectly timed to when Hollywood and various anime started heavily leaning into that stuff if it was actually finished in the mid 2010s, but it took a decade to develop). And like the original it somehow manages to pull it off very well, which is even more impressive since those stories almost always suck; just look at the Evangelion Rebuilds or Higurashi or Marvel or those Spiderverse movies. It's indulgent fanservice concentrated to the point it shouldn't work, yet it still managed to get me invested and draw a lot of emotion out of me.One thing to keep in mind though is that it's ridiculously long so it's almost impossible to play through continuously like a normal game. I'd try and take breaks at the end of each part.
