Gee, why is Star Fox so short?
Nintendo really charging $60 for a 2 hour game?
>>
only casuals do one route in a single playthrough
>>
stop posting screenshots from other websites because you are afraid of confrontation and don’t want to say something to that person yourself

>one route only takes an hour
even shadow the hedgehog was longer
>>
>>738935890
Much to everyone's suffering.
>>
Yeah, the metacritic score is gonna be brutal for this one. A lot of modern gamers are gonna be turned off by the arcady nature of the game.
>>
Do score attack games really work in 2026?
>>
>>738935654
Oh boy more twitter screenshots
>>
Why do modern games all need to be like 50 hours long? i don't have time for that shit.
>>
>>738941204
There's a big middle ground between 2 hours and 50 hours, you know.

everyone did not play Shadow so everyone did not suffering!!
>>

Yeah but nobody wants that for $60.
Normies are in for a rude awakening when they find out how short this game is.
>>
>multiple routes
>most levels have two endings
>game has scoring system and high-score goals that unlock new content
but it doesn't have "roguelite elements" so zoomers cry uncontrollably at the very concept
>>
>>738943419
Can't pay them more without charging more
>>
>>738935654
It was always short though, really it's the general flaw with these arcadey games
>>
>>738935654
This is why you make the game difficult so you need tens of hours to get to the last boss. Unfortunately Star Fox has always been rather allergic to difficulty.
>>
>>738943635
it would be fine if it wasnt 60
>>
>>738935654
>Not doing all routes
>Not doing higher difficulties
>Not playing for score
Hopefully Star Fox will get more Alphers into rail shooters and shmups so they can grow up and laugh at their retarded Zoomer forebears for rotting their brains playing rogueslop and moviegames
>>
>>738943458
>highscoreslop in 2026
just die already grandpa
>>
>>738943889
>higher difficulties
>score
As long as normal mode is beatable in 2h you won't see most players returning to beat it again at a higher difficulty. That used to be common when you had nothing else to play or you considered a game your GOAT. Same applies for score. Routes add replayability but instead the game should've defaulted to a difficulty closer to something like Afterburner Climax.

It's not even a flaw, needing to set aside enough time to finish a 5+ hour run or split it across multiple sessions would've been retarded.
>>
>>738944084
I don't think they really thought about brain-fried 2026 kids when making a game in 1997

>needing to set aside enough time to finish a 5+ hour run or split it across multiple sessions would've been retarded
Worked for Tyrian 2000. There's zero reason why you couldn't take the 7-9h campaign with an upgrade shop, branching paths and save system and bolt it onto SF. At the end of the day SF64 wasn't very innovative, it basically copied old 16 bit rail shooters without the difficulty which made it easy and short. It was made for kids with no shooter experience so it makes sense.
