>>738939058I think you have played plenty of games and have a fine taste, so I'm going to suggest an older game that many people who enjoy the genre have missed. 三國戰紀 The Knights of Valor series. Interpretations of the Romance of the 3 kingdoms which are are arcade games, that on their later incarnations add actual D+D Shadow over mystara type inventories.

>>738939413Absolum would be a lot better if it was a straight-forward beat'em'up with some random loot instead of a roguelite with color-themed upgrades.And replaying the starting areas would be a lot less boring if the game allowed me to pick an character upgrade before the run starts. Playing as the elf without that heavy sword combo upgrade sucks, and I don't know why the dwarf's reload upgrade isn't a default ability.
