Why do you keep replaying old games, /v/?
They're better
Because they're fun.
>>738943016sex with Kirika
>waiting once a week is a pain>same as above for anime>new games are awful and shouldn't take a decade to release
>>738943016Because, worst gear, I like what I like.
>>738943016because you guys fuck kids and new games suck
They still make me feel joy.
im old and i like older things and i don't like the newer things, not because they're new, but because they are low quality
who is Dess?
>>738944321
>>738944321this is dess
>>738943016fans of new games dont actually like games, they just consoom it because its current popular thing and they have been trained to only like current thing. No matter what answer is given to this question they will never actually understand it because they've been trained to not know what quality even is.
>>738943016Playing new games takes mental effort I'm not prepared to makeIts easier to go back to something I know inside outI'm not proud of myself
>>738943016I don't, in fact I never replay games, I would rather experience new (old) ones that I've never played before
In my life there was so much angerStill I have no regrets
>>738943016I know the best way to shut this bitch's mouth.
Same reason I watch a film again. I enjoy the experience!
uncs want to relive their childhood because they failed at life
Symphogear game when?
>>738948831If (you) were succeeding at life (you) wouldn't be posting in /v/, anon
>>738944739'Desu' - Present/polite state of being in Japanese. Can be read as is/am in English. The casual variant of 'Desu' is 'Da'.
>>738943016Why do you keep saying dess instead of desu, desu?
>>738948976For real - Kirika got "verbal tick" because everyone (including her VA) were unsure if she would get popular, as opposed of Ukrainian beauty (Maria) and pink twin tails (Shirabe). In the end, she got very popular instead so for next season's her script included more and more of "dess", which is way she pronounce "death", being chuuni teenager and all that.Dess.
>>738943072/thread
>>738948976Because that's how it's pronounced. Suiseiseki's "desu" is an anomaly.
Because immediacy is a lost art in video games and the time I spend in them is genuinely more reflective of actual hours put into the games. You know how many video games constantly fucking waste your time with menus and poorly implemented UIs or pointless busy work for "immersion" that aren't needed?Take Hitman for example. Cool, WoA has that massive safehouse in the freelancer mode, but its just a bunch of bloat when you look at Blood Money's safehouse and realize it did the same thing but in a smaller area and didn't make you sit through a bunch more loading screens and button presses to get to the actual gameplay.Marathon's the latest AWFUL example where there's 10x more menus than you need, with constant inventory checking and management. Civ VII is a "what the fuck are you doing" tier of horribleness in a game that's literally designed to be taking up your time and it's somehow insulting considering the game's nature.Go play a 2000s racer. Go play a 2000s shooter. They are fucking immediate to get into. Go play any Sony first party game on the PS2 and compare it to modern PS5 exclusives where even when you're controlling the character you're in some gay hub area with a portal or something to the actual gameplay.
>>738948895https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEVS4_pbszAThere was a fan game being worked on at one point
>>738949401for me it's 30 minute long tutorial/cutscene introsif 5 minutes into a game I don't even have free control of my character yet the odds of me dropping the game increase significantly
>>738949312Sure, but its very strange to spell it that way. Its like spelling sensei as sensay.
>>738943016I don't, that would be retarded.
>>738949401You reminded me of a blog post from an indie dev that's kinda related to the subject>That saying that when all you have is a hammer everything else looks like a nail - similarly, when all you have is willpower, everything looks like an obstacle to be pounded into submission by that same willpower. >Laziness is a good thing in that it means stepping back from this idiot insatiability of the will. If you’re lazy you have to pay more attention, because you’re more aware of both your own limits and the limits of your material. >I think there can be value in suspending a formal problem rather than building an exhaustive system to solve it forever. That way it’s still something you have to think about, something that still throws off and reroutes the normal workings of your awful private fantasy machine. Dropping text strings into the game as elements to spatially encounter is not ideal technically but does force you to be more responsive and exploratory with how you use that text. Robust systems can be cool, but can also really homogenize everything - now “text” is just the miscellaneous stuff within the all-purpose “textbox” at the bottom of the screen, cementing its role as filler content.>The funny thing about really systemic, open-world type games is that their very robustness tends to suffocate exprience before it happens. We know nothing will happen which will significantly impact this camera POV, this dialogue system.. anything can happen except for anything which would require a fundamental change to the underlying inventory system. But maybe the whole pleasure of the open world game is just being able to hold those experiences in suspense.
>>738943239Having sex with retarded people is a crime anon.
>>738944321Dess neets
>>738949949Cute.
>kaneko new wild arms has barely anything to show for after years>symphogear is literally dead because he doesnt give a fuck at all.Honestly, he really fucked up the franchise.
>>738952180Symphogear project has ended, simple as that. They outright stated they won't make any more seasons or series. In fact, Kaneko got quite annoyed when Princession Orchestra was constantly compared to Symphogear in interviews.
