Very mad that I got halfway through this game, thinking it was the original SMT4 but with extra content. Kept thinking to myself "where the fuck are those characters in the blue jackets I kept seeing?"

Only realized my mistake when they finally showed up halfway through and my stupidity was clear

I think they peaked during the ps2 and ds eras, they got the jank out of the 90s out of their system by then without going overboard with pandering to secondaries to sell more games

The gameplay was stellar but everything else was pretty bad. It had better dungeons than 4 but it also has one of the worst dungeons ever in yhvh's universe which is needlessly big with empty space and a ton of warp doors to even bigger emptier spaces
