I'd be mad if this happened to my phone but replacing a battery on the steam deck is super easy
>>
Must suck being the kind of people who have electronics break on them.
Been using the same shit for years now without any breakdowns or replacements needed:
>2 Sata SSDs since 2019
>Dualshock 4 since 2018
>Dualsense since 2021
>$60 Sennheiser 350BT since 2022
>Steam Deck since 2024

The only new electronics I've replaced was my PC but that was just voluntary. All the parts from my previous rig are still usable from when I built it in 2016 to today.

My PSU is over 10 years old. I've had zero problems with it ever but I just know the reaper is coming for me

>do i just stop playing games instead of simply swapping out the battery
is there any particular reason chainsawman fans tend to be retarded?
>>
>>738953289
From what I see posted online, people have their SSDs and controller die on them or just have them replaced a lot. Controllers especially, so having one that hasn't broken or become unusable due to drift for that long is pretty impressive
>>

that's bloating from a Lithium Ion Battery. Hardly a Steam specific problem. In fact every electronic that uses those kind of batteries is susceptible to it. Including the Switch, laptops, and the phone in your pocket.
>>
>>738953909
have you seen a steamdeck teardown? replacing the battery would not be easy for the majority of people.

It's so fucking obvious that these things aren't a coincidence and that those people who constantly have controllers break are sperging out on them, but if you try to imply having self accountability, oh boy are you the asshole then.

my phone has been pregnant for like 7 years and still works fine, this is a nothingburger

I've been using the same shitty $200 (now goes for $50) refurb desktop PC with a shitty rx 560 since 2018. It was supposed to be a short term hold over. I keep waiting for something to break so I can justify buying a new PC, but everything keeps working. I have 3 HDDs prone to shitting themselves in there, one probably close to 15 years old, and not a single one of them has had any issues yet.
>>
>>738951651
Once your things start breaking, they'll all break one after another.
>>
>>738954163
Susceptible means that it could happen, not that it will happen. For low wattage electronics (3DS doesn't use that much power) it's less of an issue. The Steam Deck uses way more power.
>>
>>738954075
Surely someone who even knows what a Steam Deck is wouldn't have an issue typing "steam deck battery swap" into jewtube and simply following along... right?
>>
>>738951340
what the fuck am I looking at here?
>>
>>738954656
bloated battery that needs to be replaced.
>>
>>738954656
The battery bloated.
>>
>>738954163
okay but you understand you are n=1 and other people have had their 3ds battery swell up right? or do you not understand that?
>>

ew gross
